Amos 9
A Vision of God at the Altar
1 Then I saw a vision of the Lord standing beside the altar. He said,
“Strike the tops of the Temple columns,
so that the foundation will shake.
Bring down the roof
on the heads of the people below.
I will kill with the sword those who survive.
No one will escape!
2 “Even if they dig down to the place of the dead,[a]
I will reach down and pull them up.
Even if they climb up into the heavens,
I will bring them down.
3 Even if they hide at the very top of Mount Carmel,
I will search them out and capture them.
Even if they hide at the bottom of the ocean,
I will send the sea serpent after them to bite them.
4 Even if their enemies drive them into exile,
I will command the sword to kill them there.
I am determined to bring disaster upon them
and not to help them.”
5 The Lord, the Lord of Heaven’s Armies,
touches the land and it melts,
and all its people mourn.
The ground rises like the Nile River at floodtime,
and then it sinks again.
6 The Lord’s home reaches up to the heavens,
while its foundation is on the earth.
He draws up water from the oceans
and pours it down as rain on the land.
The Lord is his name!
Blessed n highly favored. Todah Yah😇😀😁
Just by language logic, His Name is not Yahweh. John 5:43 YahShua ben YAH H’wah Yahuah and Jehovah are far more acceptable than the pagan sand god name yahweh
If His Name is I AM that I AM, why would the sound of Yah change? Probably didn’t know the Jews corrupted their text long before the Greeks and the other European nations, long before Americans did chasing money and fame
Yahwah and Yahweh both sound like such play a child would entertain themselves with while learning their language. Yahweh sounds as childish as jeeesus. Since people do Not take His Name seriously, like how you Paul use it in every sentence, the humble used Lord, or Adonai, out of respect in fear of misusing His Name. He is above us, talk to Him like He Is. Yahshua or Yeshua came down so yes His Name can not be misused but in His Kingdom we will all speak and refer correctly so enjoy your time of ignorance
Shaddai (Almighty) is His Name. Adonai El Shaddai, Elyon, Adonai Elohei-Tzva-ot IS
Shalom, Paul. I see you are taking others’ words for “His name” being Yahweh. Too bad, especially since you are a leader. Of all the agreements, Yah is the shortened form on which we can all agree. So why sow discord? Blessings, brother. PPP,RR&S! Happy preparation day.
Shabbat Shalom and thank you!
