Episode 13 –

Carrying on the Shabbat (John 5:8-11)

When Yeshua told the man to pick his mat up and carry it on the Shabbat He was not denouncing the Rabbinical authority or the Oral Torah He was functioning in accordance with the Rabbinical authority and the Oral Torah. This falls under the laws of Eruv which are part of the 7 rabbinic laws by which the issue at hand proves that Yeshua was in accordance with these rabbinical laws telling the man to pick up his mat and go.
