Today's guest Daniel Botkin is the messianic teacher who talks about how he was a born again Christian but felt like he became born again, again when he became a messianic believer in Messiah Yeshua. Daniel talks about the difference between most Christians and Messianic Believers.

  1. He also created hair on our head but we sometimes shave that.

The commandment is to not shave your beard or HEAD HAIR to the dead.

That said I think it is good to grow a beard but there is not one commandment in all of scripture to grow one. If there is please post the scripture… There is the scripture on not doing it to the dead but it includes cutting your head hair to the dead.

  2. wooooohoooooo, finally a messianic congregation in IL, I will call them tomorrow to find out if there are any such fellowships in the Chicago burbs. Thanks for this interview, brother Paul!

  3. This verse is not giving a free pass to eat whatever you wish. If we read the entire passage in context, Yahshua is admonishing the Pharisees for demanding He and His disciples ritualistically wash their hands before eating. Yahshua was saying that if you don’t wash your hands before eating, that is not what defiles a man.
Yahshua never condemned the Torah, He rebuked the Pharisees for adding man made traditions to Yahweh’s holy law.

  4. The bible doesn’t say eating swine flesh is a sin but it does say that it is unclean. Why would you want to eat this animal or any other like shrimp or lobster which are living waste eaters. God never made his commands to be overbearing and burdening, but it does become a burden when you add & mix traditions of man with His Word. Remember the grace Jesus gave us was not to come with harsh condemnation and neither is it an excuse to do something he has told us not to do.

  5. I wouldn’t justify eating it, but all of the books in the bible do not say the word “sin” specifically. It would turn out that most people will go to hell then, including my mother and grandparents for this unrepented sin?! Well did not Jesus declared that it is not what enters a man that defiles him but what comes out of his mouth that does? Sin takes you to hell, so I guess everyone except messianics will go to hell for unrepented sin? I am sorry but >the bible says it is unclean not a sin<

  6. 1. Sin is breaking Torah. 2. Everyone sins. The question is to we do it on purpose or not 3. We don’t go to hell because we sin 3. Once you repent and know something is sin you don’t keep doing it on purpose if you are a true believer 4. Yeshua wasn’t talking about food when he said that, it was the customer of hand cleaning and other customs of the rabbis of that time he was speaking about 5. You need to really study and learn your bible more. Eating unclean food is a sin.

  7. I do study my bible, thank you. Here you go: Hebrews 7:12-17-For the priesthood being changed, there is made of necessity a >change also of the law<. For he of whom these things are spoken pertaineth to another tribe, of which no man gave attendance at the altar. For it is evident that our Lord (Jesus Christ) sprang out of Judah; of which tribe Moses spake nothing concerning priesthood. And it is yet far more evident: for that after the similitude of Melchisedec there ariseth another priest.

  8. This verse is about tithing. Now that Melchizedek has taken over for Levi who receives the tithe? This verse is showing that there is not an abrogation of the tithing law, simply a change in the instruction on who is to receive the tithe. In the original covenant Our Creator allowed Levi a share of it, and now in the renewed Covenant the tithe is still to be for building of the spiritual sanctuary and would be collected by the elders for the spiritual work of Yahweh. The principle is the same.

  9. Messianic Christianity is essentially Essenism which is what Yeshua(Jesus) was an Essene of the Nazarene sect and Yeshua also was familiar with the Holy Kabbalah and I wonder if Messianic ministries also as well.

  10. I’m excited to one day go back to Israel. I have a lot of adoption in my family and one day i was praying to the Lord and asking if i was from one of the 12 tribes of Israel or not? I then heard the most beautiful voice of our Messiah Yeshua say to me audibly wide awake “Jacob, thou son of David”. Not only did i not know that i was from the tribe of Judah but he had also changed my name from Jason to Jacob, and what can i say we serve a wonderful God!!! Shalom.
