Jackfruit technically grows in two locations in the United States; both South Florida and Hawaii.
Three in total with Puerto Rico if you include US territories.
Puerto Rico has become a big producer of tropical fruit in the past few years. They also grow 3 varieties of durian there.
have you had durian from PR?
Not yet. I can only get durian from Thailand in MA.

It reminds me of lemon meringue pie.
I live in polk county. FL and a guy down the road from me. has to big Jack fruit trees. in his yard. and they are loaded right now with big jack fruits on them.
