  1. They are using a western view of “Law” from today. The LAW of gravity is a fixed thing. The LAWs of thermodynamics are fixed. They are called laws because they are immutable. But when “law” conjures up penalties and Big Brother, then you have Christians saying that’s done away with. They are hopelessly deceived.

    • I believe it’s a uniquely American Protestant (and PROTESTantism in general) phenomena…for the most part.

Us Americans are inherently raised with a rebellious attitude toward the state, feds, and “Big Brother” like you said. Which isn’t always a bad thing, of course. The idea of being ruled by a “King” doesn’t sit well with us….despite our lip service to the Bible and Christ.

But that fanaticism against authority bleeds heavily over into Biblical views of Torah and the dreaded “law.”

Yes, Yeshua freed us….to be lawless????

      -_-

      Lol

    • No dought you have a zeal for God. But…..

      What does torah means?

Torah means law, what are you teaching? Christ fulfil the law.

Romans 10:3-4 KJV — For they being ignorant of *God’s righteousness* , and going about to establish their own righteousness, have not submitted themselves unto the righteousness of God. For *Christ is the end of the law for righteousness to every one that believeth.*

      Read that carefully.

      ——-

Galatians 3:22-27 KJV — But the scripture hath concluded all under sin, that the *promise by faith* of Jesus Christ might be given to them that believe. But *before* faith came, we were kept under the law, shut up unto the faith which should afterwards be revealed. Wherefore the law *was* our schoolmaster to bring us unto Christ, that we might be justified *by faith* . But after that faith is come, we are *no longer* under a schoolmaster. For ye are all the children of God *by faith* in Christ Jesus. For as many of you as have been baptized into Christ have put on Christ.

—–Love is fulfilling all the law – – –

Galatians 5:14 KJV — For all the law is fulfilled in one word, even in this; *Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself.*

Romans 13:8 KJV — Owe no man any thing, but to *love* one another: for he that loveth another hath *fulfilled* the law.

Matthew 22:36-40 KJV — Master, which is the great commandment in the law? Jesus said unto him, Thou shalt *love* the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind. This is the first and great commandment. And the second is like unto it, Thou shalt *love* thy neighbour as thyself. On these two commandments hang *all the law* and the prophets.

——-For your ideas what what one shall eat or not eat————

Romans 14:1-6 KJV — Him that is weak in the faith receive ye, but not to doubtful disputations. For one believeth that he may eat all things: another, who is *weak* , eateth herbs. Let not him that eateth despise him that eateth not; and *let not him which eateth not judge him that eateth* : for God hath received him. Who art thou that judgest another man’s servant? to his own master he standeth or falleth. Yea, he shall be holden up: for God is able to make him stand. One man esteemeth one day above another: another esteemeth every day alike. Let every man be fully persuaded in his own mind. He that regardeth the day, regardeth it unto the Lord; and he that regardeth not the day, to the Lord he doth not regard it. He that eateth, eateth to the Lord, for he giveth God thanks; and he that eateth not, to the Lord he eateth not, and giveth God thanks.

Get it. Much love to you, peace

  2. I think Yashua was trying to teach us we are spirits and that our flesh and blood doesn’t rule us, that we can over come any lusts this world and Satan tempts us with. Thanks for sharing Paul

    • +Danny J Taking verses out of context without any thought of the who the author of those letters was writing too and what they were practicing at the time as well as throwing away 95% of Yahweh’s teaching is a dangerous game, the bible is one book of God’s word and there are no contradictions. What you are claiming is that we can discount the Torah because of 6 or so verses?, I suggest you start at Genesis and read straight through to Revelations and let the Holy Spirit guide you not the doctrines of man. Shalom

You said some words but nothing I can grasp as evidence. Kinda don’t believe what I read.
Clearly Paul is saying we are not under the law but under grace through faith. The Law *was* , and Love fulfil all the law

  3. This is always a great and true point/argument. But those greasy gracers just never “get it.” That blank, 404 error, cannot compute, comes over their faces, the eyes gloss over for a minute….then they launch right back into their argument that the Torah is evil and YHWH is possibly satan without ever coming full circle with their own argument and outright admitting that…..sigh… -_-

    • +Danny J “Whosoever committeth sin transgresseth also the law: for sin is the transgression of the law.” ~ 1 John 3:4

      “Law”
      Strong’s G458
      Anomia
      458. anomia, an-om-ee’-ah;  from 459;  anomos,  an-om’-oce;  from 1 (as a negative particle) and 3551;  lawless,  i.e. (neg.) not subject to  (the Jewish)   law;  (by implication a Gentile), or (pos.) wicked: -without law, lawless, transgressor, unlawful, wicked.

      From Thayer’s Greek-English Lexicon:

      1.  destitute of   (the Mosaic)  law…

*IT DOESN’T GET ANY CLEARER THAN THIS*

    • “For all have sinned and come short of the glory of God”.

This just means that we can’t come before God and say that we are righteous because we keep the law. That doesn’t mean we shouldn’t keep the Torah, if that’s what your intent was with posting that verse.

  4. The word for “keep” in Hebrew is shamar שָׁמַר which means to guard or protect. Protecting and “keeping” the commandments, the mitzvot, doesn’t mean practicing them when they have no place in our lives (such as sacrificial laws without a temple or farming laws without a farm), but we are to “keep” them. That’s why we memorize our portion of the Torah. It’s critical we hold these laws. Yeshua kept all the mitzvot too, even though, as far as we know, he never farmed.

  5. Thank you brother… well said
    Philippians 2:12 (King James Bible
    )
Wherefore, my beloved, as ye have always obeyed, not as in my presence only, but now much more in my absence, work out your own salvation with fear and trembling.

  6. Yeshua had an answer as to what is greatest commandment. Checking i find they were given first. Next were given the 10. As is said they were summarized in the 2, basically they are examples of the 2. Next we have the 613, again further examples or explanation. Beyond that comes traditions they are mostly mans way to get out of the previously given explanations. If you follow the 2 the 10 should follow if you follow the 10 the 613 should be natural outcome.
