I like the questions!
For me, the detoxing blowback or healing crises (whatever one wants to call them) make it really difficult to work, accomplish daily tasks, and meet the expectations and obligations of relationships. So I have to schedule the detoxing in order to manage my time. Planning around periods of detox or forcing myself to push through it is almost impossible!
We need detox centers so that we can get away from the distractions of life while we implement all the healing modalities available, and so that we can have in-person support. My life is so disordered because I haven’t been managing well on my own.

Not if you do Forks Over Knives, non-GMO, organic, do yearly cleanses, take organic supplements and super foods, do yoga, cardio, resistance training, meditation, earthing, sleep well, have good natural oral health, destress, and drink clean water. Yes, there are other factors, I agree, but these things will give you a huge leg up.
Forks over knives doesn’t promote raw food. Grains and legumes are garbage.

Thanks for keeping it real. I love these type of videos from vegans that share the honest truth. I have been on a raw vegan diet for almost 2 years for post menopause symptoms and while it’s helped with some things, other issues are still there. Blood work is fine and so are other screenings. It doesn’t make me want to give up this lifestyle or think that it fails, because nothing is 100% or perfect. This diet has given me more energy, kept my weight down, digestion is great, skin looks good. Maybe I have more healing to do, maybe not, but I plan on this being a lifestyle and I’m honest with those around me why I eat the way I do and I am aware that things happen.

There’s a huge difference between raw vegan vs. raw vegan. MASSIVE.
All the thriving long-term raw vegans are either a) farmers; b) harvesters; or c) people who source things from A or B.
Unfortunately YouTubers create oversimplifications of any diet (because they try to sell it… Or just bathe in ignorance) and don’t expose true incorporation with nature.
Once you start incorporating either a) 100% fresh produce from your garden; b) wild herbs/plants/nuts/seeds; or c) (best) both… you’ll understand how lacking a contemporary raw diet is.
I call most failing raw foodists supermarket vegans. Wild herbs have insane number of benefits cultivated vegetables/fruits just don’t. Take stinging nettle for instance, which covers all Calcium and Silica needs one needs (among thousand other benefits). Or weeds like dandelion greens which most countries don’t even sell in stores. Or even pine needles and pollen…
The list goes on and on. There’s so much free “supplements” in nature most raw foodists don’t utilize. Go harvest crap-ton of different herbs, barks, leaves, flowers, and even tree saps from forests seasonally and turn them into green powders (incredibly easy with modern dehydrators and blenders). Freeze tree saps for hydrating beverages during winter. Use these things as free “supplements” in addition to vegetables and fruits you buy from the store or local farmers. You’ll feel what true health is. Cultivation is a mere derivative of true nutrition which is wild.
Don’t deprive yourself of that experience.
@Uncle Iroh wild harvesting is on another level for sure! I hope to do this one day. In meantime I source from companies or people who wild harvest or wgo gave demonstrated superb standards in the quality of their products.

i take a needle put trough a stick, and skrape out yellow stuf from teeth brush right,, all dehydrated stuf stick, fresh fruit no, well it seems nuts stick les than potato grain… and i think the sugar then stick to that witch is stuck

No it’s my neighbor and It does drive me crazy. I used to think they crowed only in the morning. This rooster and all crow all day and night.
So true !! I have been raw vegan since 2015. Haven’t eaten meat since 1975. Have always been concern with health and taking care of myself. But unfortunately recently I slipped off the tub pulling wallpaper down split my chin open and caused trauma to my jaw, lost a tooth, and have what sounds like cracked glass going on in my jaw area. So thankfully my diet is fabulous eating raw !! But of course the stress of life can cause issues and I agree with some of your viewers it’s more than just eating raw, getting proper sleep, exercising, drinking plenty of water and green juices, some sunshine, and a fabulous relationship with God mediating on His Word is ideal !!!
Thanks for shedding light so people don’t just think raw food takes care of it all. For stress alone can kill you regardless of your superb diet. And accidents do happen sometimes. Do your best with the body God has given you 🌺

Paul, How do you keep your bones strong? I’ve heard bone broth, meat, and dairy strengthens bones from collagen, protein, and calcium. What do you recommend for women in menopause?
Greens have more silica and calcium any animal product has. For both menopause and bones, try stinging nettle. Incredible herb.

Even with a raw vegan diet, we can still get diseases unless you water fast correctly regularly once or twice a year for 21-42 days followed by a refeeding schedule.
Yes, there is no cure all, but I still think when people get injured, they are still better off on a raw diet.
Your body probably deals with that pain you spoke of that you had, or an injury, because of the better diet. Your diet helps inflammation.
I struggle with Lupus nephritis, Autoimmune Hepatitis, Celiac’s and Reynolds phenomenon and recently diagnosed with RA. I struggle to not feel punished and when i start to eat raw i feel like that’s just another punishment. I have been raw for 2 weeks now and feel better and trying to look at it from a different place. I try to feel blessed that im able to get an abundance of fresh fruit and veg. I do wish that i had a friend that understood the raw life but doing it alone will have to do. “I can do all this through him who gives me strength.” Thank you for another great video.

Plants have a lot of toxins. Especially if they’re raw. Acetogenins, oxalates, saponins, phytates, lectins, cyanogenic glycosides, toxic alkaloids, goiterogens, persin, urushiol, caramboxin, hypoglycin, solanine, etc. Quite literally hundreds (perhaps thousands) of uniquely identifiable chemicals with a substantial degree of toxicity.
