Ezekiel 20 New Living Translation (NLT)
The Rebellion of Israel
20 On August 14,[a] during the seventh year of King Jehoiachin’s captivity, some of the leaders of Israel came to request a message from the Lord. They sat down in front of me to wait for his reply. 2 Then this message came to me from the Lord: 3 “Son of man, tell the leaders of Israel, ‘This is what the Sovereign Lord says: How dare you come to ask me for a message? As surely as I live, says the Sovereign Lord, I will tell you nothing!’

4 “Son of man, bring charges against them and condemn them. Make them realize how detestable the sins of their ancestors really were. 5 Give them this message from the Sovereign Lord: When I chose Israel—when I revealed myself to the descendants of Jacob in Egypt—I took a solemn oath that I, the Lord, would be their God. 6 I took a solemn oath that day that I would bring them out of Egypt to a land I had discovered and explored for them—a good land, a land flowing with milk and honey, the best of all lands anywhere. 7 Then I said to them, ‘Each of you, get rid of the vile images you are so obsessed with. Do not defile yourselves with the idols[b] of Egypt, for I am the Lord your God.’

8 “But they rebelled against me and would not listen. They did not get rid of the vile images they were obsessed with, or forsake the idols of Egypt. Then I threatened to pour out my fury on them to satisfy my anger while they were still in Egypt. 9 But I didn’t do it, for I acted to protect the honor of my name. I would not allow shame to be brought on my name among the surrounding nations who saw me reveal myself by bringing the Israelites out of Egypt. 10 So I brought them out of Egypt and led them into the wilderness. 11 There I gave them my decrees and regulations so they could find life by keeping them. 12 And I gave them my Sabbath days of rest as a sign between them and me. It was to remind them that I am the Lord, who had set them apart to be holy.

13 “But the people of Israel rebelled against me, and they refused to obey my decrees there in the wilderness. They wouldn’t obey my regulations even though obedience would have given them life. They also violated my Sabbath days. So I threatened to pour out my fury on them, and I made plans to utterly consume them in the wilderness. 14 But again I held back in order to protect the honor of my name before the nations who had seen my power in bringing Israel out of Egypt. 15 But I took a solemn oath against them in the wilderness. I swore I would not bring them into the land I had given them, a land flowing with milk and honey, the most beautiful place on earth. 16 For they had rejected my regulations, refused to follow my decrees, and violated my Sabbath days. Their hearts were given to their idols. 17 Nevertheless, I took pity on them and held back from destroying them in the wilderness.

    • I hope that statement isn’t referring to the “star of David” or the “seal of Solomon” because that symbol is wicked, and refers to the baphomet ? Idk how it’s spelled. It does not reflect the marriage created by Yahuah, it refers to the breasted goat symbol, that this trans movement is reflecting. It’s wickedness

    • +Eve Ning in·se·cu·ri·ty is the real hatred. Thank God for Jonh being exiled to the island of patmos. He smashed your rabies Rabbis with rabies That’s the Anti-Christ spirit that is the spirit of insecurity that is yours the chosen one

    • +Eve Ning I study language and symbology is a language. Upright triangle, man. Upside down triangle, womb, aka woman, combined, abomination. Look into it. The “peace” sign is actually a satanic torture sign, for the upside down cross had it’s arms broken. The only hate in me is for the adversary, his legion of ugly fools, and the idea of sin itself. Yah said to love what He loves and hate what He hates. I’m not sure if you responded to the same comment feeling the same hate I felt in reading that, or claimed hate to me over the lost, cuz I called the movement itself out for what it is, poisoning of the heart by sin, because those people can be forgiven and the Truth must be priority#1 in the battle field

  1. Ez 20:44 refers pretty well to Psalm 109:21-22, and even 2 Corinthians 1:20 if your Bible indicates that Amen is a tribute to Yahshua because He Is faithful, as amen means faithful and trustworthy.

    • It’s “Ahmein” pronounced “O-mane” historically. See video on youtube about origin of term “AMEN”. Also, research original word in ancient Hebrew and pronunciation. It’s on-line and in on-line hebrew libraries brother Joseph. Shalom

    • +barb no, Hebrew is very strict. Yahshua is Hebrew, Yeshua is Aramaic. Ahmen is it’s usual pronunciation, yet heavier on the Ah is more appropriate to the language itself

    • +barb many many languages before and after the flood. Hebrew started with Cainan, given back unto Abraham. A language people thought dead, being why the KJV is mostly Greek (Iesous), guessed Greek at minimum yet some words remain, HalleluYah Amen and Bible, amen means faithful, trustworthy, bible means truth. Amen is a tribute, 1cor1:20, unto HE who Is faithful, and the other is an everlasting Truth, who is the Word, the Melchizedek. Fortunately, more and more continues to resurface and relearn and I am so thankful the idioms book was pointed out through Paul because I’ve bought several and they make you think

    • I did fail to mention that you said historically. Like I said, people thought the language dead. As they thought Latin and it’s still being learned today. I used to write Latin and sorta read it but Hebrew is fascinating

  2. Brother Paul, I noticed that at around the 29:56 time mark of your reading of the verse 38 HRB notes that you skipped a word: Laodicean. It is important to note historically that it was at the Council of Laodicea, about the year 336, that they had the gall to change the Sabbath to Sun-day! Many people of the end times are tragically deceived away from the keeping of the true Sabbath (the 7th day) which our Most High Yah has given us to keep as an eternal covenant!

  3. Shabbat Shalom brothers and sisters! Thank you brother Paul… good instruction by YAH in Ezekiel 20. YAH loves His children deeply. Ex 20:12 -“…it is I YAH who SANCTIFY them.” You are not sanctified by the federal government, or your boss, or your parents, or your pastor and priests. Israel you are santified by the Kadosh Kadoshim, YAH, the Almighty Creator! HE should be the one to dictate our days of work and days of rest, not our jobs or other people. If we follow Him in all His commands, HE will make all else right in time. HIS Will is greater than any pain we may have to endure in waiting, for His way is perfect whether we mortals can see it or not.
    Def: sanctify –
    – set apart as or declare holy; consecrate.
synonyms: consecrate, make holy, make sacred, bless, hallow, set apart, dedicate to God, anoint, ordain, canonize, beatify
    – make legitimate or binding by religious sanction.
    – free from sin; purify.
synonyms: purify, cleanse, free from sin, absolve, unburden, redeem YAH bless! Shema Israel!
