You got it buddy! I’m glad you found a way to discuss this in a loving and respectful manner. Too many times the adversary causes us to be distracted by our own pride to discuss scriptural matters like brothers.
Thank you for taking the time to create this video, and sharing it with us!
Thank you David, please share with others. Shalom
Regarding your comment at 3:50 about people going with their feelings, I came across this scripture yesterday that really resonated when you said that:
The heart is crooked above all, and desperately sick – who shall know it? Jer. 17:9
Good verse. And also:
Proverbs 21
2 Every way of a man is right in his own eyes: but the Lord pondereth the hearts.
Also Proverbs 14:12 There is a path before each person that seems right,
but it ends in death.
David Howard amen. Our heart is sick.
James 4
4 Ye adulterers and adulteresses, know ye not that the friendship of the world is enmity with God? whosoever therefore will be a friend of the world is the enemy of God.
5 Do ye think that the scripture saith in vain, The spirit that dwelleth in us lusteth to envy?
Oh man….some more verses just flowing through my mind with this video:
Romans 2
14 For when the Gentiles, which have not the law, do by nature the things contained in the law, these, having not the law, are a law unto themselves:
15 Which shew the work of the law written in their hearts, their conscience also bearing witness, and their thoughts the mean while accusing or else excusing one another;)
“law”
nomos
Strong’s G3551
2. of the MOSAIC LAW…(note even Strong’s then goes on to try and diminish Mosaic Law (Torah) by trying to contrast it with “Christian Law” as if they are different and opposed to one another even though we’re in the same definition….LOL):
3. the Christian religion: the law demanding faith, the moral instruction given by Christ, esp. the precept concerning love
http://www.blueletterbible.org/lang/Lexicon/Lexicon.cfm?strongs=G3551&t=KJV
I guess Strong’s is essentially saying “Love = Torah” or “Torah = Love”…..oh yeah, baby….that’s what I’m hearing.
Note: Gentiles “were a law unto themselves” WHEN THEY WERE DOING THINGS FROM TORAH….not just ANY man-made, worldly law or morality….Romans gets so abused by the Torah-less and anti-Torah folks. This is where you see the “Torah Law” vs “Christ’s Law/Law of Faith” false dichotomy come out to play.
Super good message….one of your best, and that’s saying something because you’ve had some awesome ones.
agreed! One of his best
Nazarite vow?
YES REALLY!!!!! True Love is unconditional. God DOES love each of us, no matter what we do and how we live. He might not like our choices and our thinking, but that in no way means he does not love us, unless we do right always. Gods word itself says that like a father who disciplines his son because he loves him, so too does God only discipline those he loves. The word of God also says God is very patient. He wants everyone to come to know Him and wants everyone to admit His authority and right to rule. He wants each of us to aknowledge our need for HIM. If he did not love ALL who sin then we would not be given this chance. We are all sinners!!! Gods ability to Love ALL despite what they do is one of the greatest things about Him, in my opinon. It sets Him above us. I will love my children no matter what they do,be it murder, rape, theft, lies, slander, sexual sin, gluttony, they could truly do anything and I will always love them. I would never give up on the fact they could change theirs hearts. Although, I only can say this about my children, as anyone else doing those things would not likely get my unconditional love. But we are ALL Gods CHILDREN, and that is why he loves us no matter what. That does not mean we wont get and deserve correction and dicsipline for our mistakes. He does not want to see us hurting eachother and ourselves ,but he knows we will, and loves us so much that he gave his perfect son to us because WE NEED HIM. The Bible says God is Love!! I REALLY believe that. It brings me comfort as well.
Luke 14:11 Matt 7:7-11 Isaiah 55:8,9 Matt 23:10-12 1 John 4:7-10 1 Peter 3: 8,9 1 Timothy 1:12-15 Isaiah 55:11
God is more than endowed with the power, right, will, strenghth, and Love to forgive us all if that is his plan. I do not claim to know the Ultimate plan HE has, but I do know HE is our FATHER, and he loves us all very much, and we need to trust in that knowledge. Love conquers all things, right?? <3 1 Corinthians 13: 1- 13 <3
p.s. From a fellow sinner and a fellow believer
thank you, well said
+Boris Savic “foolish” has a specific connotation in the earlier use of language and meaning that is not directly commensurable with typical English uses.
‘foolish’ means those who are deliberately opposed to and even scornful of the laws and teachings, which takes on a specific meaning in the cultural context of a society where these laws are explained as an integral guidance to one’s attitudes and behaviours.
for the like reasons it means that even as in past times, and yea today, many say ‘Lord, Lord’ yet don’t truly mean this (e.g. Luke 6:46) with the genuine desire to follow and live by the teachings Jesus gave us. These won’t be freely allowed to live in the fullness of covenant offered to all humanity.
Nonetheless ! God is loving and wants all to be redeemed and as such the Messiah was sent for redemption, furthermore forgiveness can (not necessarily _will_) encompass all transgressions but one:
Wherefore I say unto you, All manner of sin and blasphemy shall be forgiven unto men: but the blasphemy against the Holy Ghost shall not be forgiven unto men.
And whosoever speaketh a word against the Son of man, it shall be forgiven him: but whosoever speaketh against the Holy Ghost, it shall not be forgiven him, neither in this world, neither in the world to come.
(Matthew 12:31 – 32)
which can only be fully committed by those who know of the truth, of God’s pure love and desire for humanity’s well-being, and yet still try to distort and conceal this knowledge from many (i.e. it can only be committed by ‘Christians’, and even then only a select few).
God’s love is enduring and we can all hope on God’s mercy for humanity even to the end.
Good and upright is the LORD: therefore will he teach sinners in the way.
(Psalms 25:8)
Paul, I was just asking the Lord to help me understand what he means to not judge vs to judge righteously. And WHEN it’s appropriate to not judge and to judge righteously. As as soon as I turn on my laptop and check my email inbox – I find YOUR email titled “I had to do this” with the subject being: “Are we supposed to judge” and your link to this video. This is a testimony to all that God does answer prayers. And I wasn’t even praying in the traditional manner! I was asking him in my head to help me understand what he means (truly desiring in my heart to understand). Praise God!
We make judgements every day but we need to make righteous judgements…. We are to one day judge even angels…. Where people get confused is we are not to judge someone with a different judgement than we judge ourselves for the same sin…. If we are guilty of the same sin we are judging another for, we have to make the same judgement call…. We are not to condemn another and give ourselves a pass for the very same sin…. Romans 2 Therefore thou art inexcusable, O man, whosoever thou art that judgest: for wherein thou judgest another, thou condemnest thyself; for thou that judgest doest the same things.2 But we are sure that the judgment of God is according to truth against them which commit such things.3 And thinkest thou this, O man, that judgest them which do such things, and doest the same, that thou shalt escape the judgment of God?
Ah-Main, Excellent bro. Paul. shana tova mishpacha
Good video Paul.
I appreciate your blatant honesty and straight forward approach. There needs to be more of that in today’s society concerning the truth
Perhaps it is better put, to say–it is the Word of Yahweh that judges–not man.
Happy Yom Teruah! May our names be written down in the Lamb Book of Life! Thank you for this video.
Thank you for posting this video 🙂 I love the fact when you explain about doing good things not by our feelings but according to the word f God ! Appreciated God bless
