Idols are becoming commonplace in our world. We've lost our ability to be outraged and sick at whats happening. Just to see an idol or to see a Buddha should make us sick. Because that's a mixture and Adonai, you know from Torah, doesn't like mixtures.
Mixtures are not part of us. There should be no mixtures in our lives, even in our clothing or our fields. It's not just for God to be mean. He is trying to teach us lessons and there is a reason and purpose for all His laws. Are there idols in your life you need to take down?
