This Weeks Torah Parashah is from Genesis 23:1-25:18
It is about the death of Sarah and about Abraham picking a wife for Issac. There are many important messages in this weeks Torah that sets the stages for the decedents of Abraham via the seed of Issac.

  1. What i found to be very interesting when i read the story of Rivka and Yitzakh was that they didn´t really know each other but it was an arranged marriage but it worked.
Sadly today some brothers and sisters want to date for years before and even spend time together alone before getting married.

  2. Praise Yahweh he brought my husband and I together, we both lived on different continents, but Yahweh has made it happen to unite us. The weekend my husband came to fetch me and meet my parents was the Shabbat that this torah portion was read…and means so much to us…HalleluYAH!!!

  3. Amen! I am also reading the books From Rabbi Shalom Arush they are Amazing. I just found out about them a few months ago. I am reading the one called ” The Garden of EMUNA” This book is not the one about marriage. Its about life in general. Its fantastic. However although I’m not married as I’ve been single since my divorce at the of 29. I will be reading the one for woman and marriage as soon as I finish the other one. I want to be prepared for whenever the time comes that I will remarry again. I’m 45 now and I’m soooo happy to have remained single for all these years. After having found TORAH 2 Years ago I can now choose wisely. But indeed the books this Rabbi writes are amazing. And everything he writes is based from TORAH.

  4. The covenant with Isaac involves the land where the Temple is to be. Part of the blessing of Ishmael is the land where Moses received the commandments. These two sons’ descendants are inextricably linked. gen 21;13″ And also of the son of the bondwoman will I make a nation, because he is thy seed.’ “/ gen 17;20 ” And as for Ishmael, I have heard thee; behold, I have blessed him, and will make him fruitful, and will multiply him exceedingly; twelve p r i n c e s shall he beget, and I will make him a great nation”. Remember , Moses’ wife Tsipporah was an Ishmaelite. This means that Moses’ children and descendants, wherever they might be (perhaps beyond the Sambaṭion)are priests
     a n d princes…’set-apart’ a n d ‘royal’.
