Stop moving -_-
walking on a treadmill makes that difficult
I am not into putting labels either, but calling yourself a fruitarian and eating cooked meals is very contradictory.
guess there’s a line everyone draws somewhere. i know lots of (famous) fruitarians who eat heaps of calories from cooked nuts like cashews n almonds but still are considered raw/fruitarian.
I’m 68 and live in Canada. I work out every day at the gym. 1 1/2 hrs. Interval cardio and weights. Then finish with a 2 km swim. I am basically wfpb diet. Feeling great recovery is great. Gets me out and doing something in the winter lol
I should say 5 days a week
So many great questions and answers! When I was in my early 40s, I worked out w a power lifter. His goal was STRONG! I wanted LEAN but he made me lean and strong. But those were my carnivore days and before i realized I had osteoarthritis in my hip.
3 yrs ago, I had my hip replaced and have been slowly getting back at the weights but at home, w DBs (dumbbells). Is size of muscle and strength the same thing? Maybe I’m not even asking the right question. I guess strong bones and muscles is what I want. I need to learn more now that I’m high raw vegan eating fruits and greens. XO
Sprinting helps to build mass, while jogging tears down.
Science is showing now that having developed skeletal muscle is an important marker for disease free longevity, insulin sensitivity, growth hormone production, functional wellness as we age, etc. Turns out it’s an important aspect of health. Traditional people’s obviously didn’t “workout” but healthy people’s were very physically active with survival activities-farming, animal husbandry, building houses, etc, all of which would’ve naturally developed skeletal muscle. At the end of the day, however we get it, muscle development is important for healthy function and longevity, raw vegan, cooked vegan or not vegan! I think we need to caution ourselves not to make dietary choices a moral issue. Once we do this, we are operating in idolatry. Being responsible for our health however, is being obedient to God! Blessings!
You were a triathlete and you don’t know how many calories you need in a day? How can you expect anyone to believe that. You know how much protein and fats and calories you need in a day to sustain your lifestyle. Why won’t you just answer the question?
I ran from Miami to California and don’t know how many “calories” I eat per day. I use my appetite as my guide…. 🙂
@Seb Cam Are you a raw vegan?
