thank you so much for breaking this down and making the WORD crystal clear. I so look forward to these teachings….may YHVH bless you mightily (and I know HE does because it shows)! Shalom….
What does Torah say about a man having more than one wife and what do you think about Paul?
Shalom, I spoke about this a few weeks ago in the Torah Portion. Please check out that video.
Thank you.
Thank you very much for the parshas. I appreciate that you do not want to make this portion a controversial one. That said, I would like to give an opinion that I do personally believe it was Yeshua who wrestled with Jacob. Here’s why: Why does Scripture call the Being with whom Jacob wrestled “a man,” “a messenger” and “Elohim”? Only One Being fits those descriptions.
who’s torah??
Surely you have the Love of God all over you. Beautiful and kind, you are a Bright Shining Light. Salt, yes you make them thirsty for Living Water. Blessings and peace. <3
not sure if your joking or not, but in case you are not, its the instructions and guidelines YHWH God the creator gave us, also known in churchanity as Old testament, hope i didnt offend you by asking if your joking, no jerkiness intended 🙂
Hello Brother Paul! Did you also notice that YHVH promised Abraham’s descendants would be as many as the Stars above! But, Jacob was promised by YHVH that his descendants would be numbered as many as the Dust of the land. We can surely see that Israel is spotted

Hi there..Torah is the first five books of the Scriptures.
Yeshua is the Torah. Jesus was never His name.
Yeshua means YHWH is salvation.
Lord and God are titles and can never save anyone.
Have a look at Isaiah 43:11 Acts 4:12 Exodus 3:15 and Hosea 13:4 .friend me on Face book if you would like to know more . David Husband..you’ll know which one by the fist of fire.
YHWH bless you and lead you into all truth for Yeshua is truth!
Torah is not mentioned in the bible .If so what verse and chapter does it mention that.
It’s because Torah got translated as law that there is so much confusion.
The best place to start is to read the first five books of the Scriptures..Every time you read law substitute the word with Torah. All Torah means is ‘ instructions and precepts’
+D Ray you will find all the answers you need in the Quran
Paul, I love this Torah teaching. You have done a wonderful job! Thank you for doing this. I was very intrigued about the wrestling and how that is what gave Jacob, and therefore the believers the title/name Isreael/Y’israel. So, after some careful reading and upon closer examination of mapping out the conversation, via the Tanakh translation, I believe that Jacob actually prevailed against the ‘being/man’ he wrestled with.
It seems that its similar to a ‘Job situation’; where YHVH may have allowed the Adversary, or possibly another fallen angel, to go physically fight against Jacob. And when Jacob prevailed, as YHVH knew He would, and told HaSatan something like, (and I’m not putting words into the Creator’s mouth; simply pure speculation)- ”When Jacob defeats you, he will become Israel, because of his victory against you.” I do not know much Hebrew, but it seems to be a Hebrew word pun. Because he had striven/saritha (connected with the first part od ‘Israel’) and prevailed against being both divine (Elohim – connected with the second part of ‘Israel’) and human.
This would be a crushing blow to the Adversary, and that is why, I believe, the Adversary then broke his hip out of socket – because he was unsuccessful and full of rage because he knew the 12 tribes would now continue as planned, which eventually brings Messiah to ultimately defeat him.
I just do not see a good angel, or Yeshua pulling a cowardly move like that… But I do say all of this out of pure speculation and opinion. Because during the ‘wrestling match’ and conversation, the text is vague on who says what (in the Tanakh translation, at least). And even though the enemy is not stupid, he is prideful, sneaky and truly a coward and waited until Jacob was alone.
It seems Jacob held him at bay, and when dawn began to break, the Adversary got nervous and said, Let me go, for dawn is breaking.’, and Jacob replied, ‘Not until you bless me.’ But he wouldn’t, and I think a good divine being or the Creator would have done so, or at least gave him comfort at the end. Also, we see that when Jacob got up to leave, he turned and asked the Adversary what his name was, and we see that he refused to tell him (the Creator always seemed to allow His people to know who he was when he came and spoke to them)… I could go on, but I wan to keep it relatively short.
Does anyone have any thoughts or insight on this matter?
May YHVH bless you all!!! Shalom.
blasphemy, why because your not in the promise child of Edom seed of satan… All you’ve done is slander my forefather and may Ahyah have mercy on you…

The ancient Israelites lived in Mesopatamia. Not Africa.
Essau is Edom who never repented
Say (O Muslims), “We believe in Allah and that which has been sent down to us and that which has been sent down to Ibrahim (Abraham), Isma’il (Ishmael), Ishaque (Isaac), Ya’qub (Jacob), and to Al-Asbat [the twelve sons of Ya’qub (Jacob)], and that which has been given to Musa (Moses) and ‘Iesa (Jesus), and that which has been given to the Prophets from their Lord. We make no distinction between any of them, and to Him we have submitted (in Islam).”
And in their footsteps, We sent ‘Iesa (Jesus), son of Maryam (Mary) confirming the Taurat (Torah) that had come before him, and We gave him the Injeel (Gospel), in which was guidance and light and confirmation of the Taurat (Torah) that had come before it, a guidance and an admonition for Al-Muttaqun (the pious ). S. 5:46 Al-Hilali & Khan; cf. S. 57:27
He [Jesus] said, “Lo, I am God’s servant; God has given me the Book, and made me a Prophet.” S. 19:30 Arberry
It is He Who has sent down the Book (the Qur’an) to you (Muhammad peace be upon him) with truth, confirming what came before it. And He sent down the Taurat (Torah) and the Injeel (Gospel). S. 3:3 Al-Hilali & Khan
Sura 5:46 . Sura 19:30 and 3:3 then clarify that the Injil is a book just as the Qur’an and the Torah are books that were sent down by Allah.
Let the people of the Injeel (Gospel) judge by what Allah has revealed therein. … S. 5:47 Al-Hilali & Khan
Say: “People of the Book, you do not stand on anything, until you perform the Torah and the Gospel [Injil], and what was sent down to you from your Lord.” … S. 5:68 Arberry
Those who follow the messenger, the Prophet who can neither read nor write, whom they will find described in the Torah and the Gospel [Injil] (which are) with them. S. 7:157 Pickthall
[Say (O Muhammad peace be upon him)] “Shall I seek a judge other than Allah while it is He Who has sent down unto you the Book (The Qur’an), explained in detail.” Those unto whom We gave the Scripture [the Taurat (Torah) and the Injeel (Gospel)] know that it is revealed from your Lord in truth. So be not you of those who doubt. S. 6:114 Al-Hilali & Khan
