People say Dutch sounds a bit like Hebrew because of the G and the R, funny as they’re two completely different languages haha
If you’ve taken any French before, take the same principles you use for the guttural “r”, move it deeper in your throat, and pronounce it with “h”. If you put your hand to your throat, you can feel movement.

There is some truth in that (I am a Dutch Jew). BTW, the Scots also know how to prounce G: ‘Loch Lomond’.

How do you read words when they don’t have any kind of vowel point below them? For example “אוהב”

Where does the “R” sound come in?! I got (1st) beh dah (2nd) beh dah…this totally threw me off!
