"For the grace of God has appeared, bringing salvation to all men, instructing us to deny ungodliness and worldly desires and to live sensibly, righteously and godly in the present age." Titus 2:11-12
The gospel that many are hearing today, unfortunately, is a gospel that tends to feed the flesh. It often lacks the truth that teaches people how to live Godly lives and deny wordly desires. John the Baptist called people to repentance in order to prepare them for the Kingdom of God. When Jesus came on the scene, He said: "Repent, for the Kingdom of God is at hand". The true Gospel that the disciples delivered to us involves sacrifice – denying worldly things and pursuing obedience. Stay on course! God will remember each time you choose His will.
I lusted this week, and I was giving myself a hard time. I always ask God to give me a heart of repentance because I know, he shows mercy on me when I sin. I believe God will do something different in our lives, and transform us into new creations. I am forgiven. Thank you for this video, Rabbi Kurt Schneider, and Shalom.
