Today I introduce you to the Mamey Sapote Fruit. I love it raw all by itself. Many people eat them in milkshakes. The flavor is like a combination of pumpkin, sweet potato, and cherries with the texture of an avocado.

Nice report on mamey! I’m of Cuban background and very familiar with mamey, and yes we also use it to make milk shakes, my wife’s favorite shake. I also made a video on mamey when we were in Miami recently. Was at Rpbert is here about a year ago, nice place.

Great information, we live on a coffee farm on the Big Island of Hawaii and in one of the tree orchards on the farm is a sapote tree among other interesting types of fruit. Next will be the Suirnam Cherry.
I just got a new job in an organic shop and saw this fruit for the first time in my life . So I asked my new boss what it was, and she described it in such a tasty way that I want to try it soon.
She said it tastes like chocolate and caramel.
Thank you for this interesting review. What are the benefits of this fruit other than vitamin C ? Do you know?
its a Freaking Papaya only more ripe
Would a papaya taste like sweet potato and pumpkin and no it is not a papaya this is a real fruit
And papayas have multiple seeds not one big seed
I think the seed has vitamin b17 in it. It tastes like apricot kernel/apple seeds.
Looks like a magana variety
