Yeah I believe they should where one piece and the kind that have the extra frilly covered or what ever they are called that add more fabric around the hips and breasts. I’m gonna be looking for such bathing suits for my daughter’s.
I have swimming pool in my backyard and I or my daughter only wear one piece swimsuits . Also I grewup in beach area of Texas and as surfer I never wore a two piece. I hate seeing men and boys without shirt on . I can’t understand why he had to Apologize for
@Jane Stephens – I also grew up in TX (Corpus Christi) and spent a lot of time surfing out on Padre Island.. I usually wore a rash guard but as a Christian now I understand, value and support the the biblical reasons for modesty.. Anyway just saying hi 😎
My husband who is a wonderful man of Yah is always honest with me and he says that it is difficult for a man not to stumble when surrounded by women who are showing their bodies. Whenever I go out with him I can feel his struggle and I can see how much he’s trying not to stumble. It’s stress for a man and I feel truly sorry for all my brothers in Messiah that try to stay faithful to Him. For me, as a 40-year-old woman is as well extremely difficult to control my thoughts and look away when FB ads are suddenly showing young men with no shirts on. When I was younger it was not a problem but it has changed as I’m ageing. I am brutally honest here. This all makes me think that we are being molested by someone’s nakedness shoved down our throats against our will. We don’t watch TV and whenever we can we are blocking ads from popping out. And it’s not because we have a problem with lust. We are ordinary people that are feeling violated by people’s uncovered bodies shown to us against our will.
What you are preaching is not extreme. Yes, the boys need to do their part, but so should the girls. There is no coincidence that our society is in moral decline since the introduction of bikinis. Same with yoga pants.
I would like to add to this, that when I was dressing immodest that I thought it was fine because I dressed better than other woman. As such, I actually believed I was dressing modestly! The devil is such a liar! Then one day it hit me like a ton of bricks when He actually said to me that I was dressing in a way to cause men to lust after me. He said now if I continued to dress the way I was that I would be held accountable for their sin!.. I’m not saying this to judge anyone because I think the enemy tells us so many lies but if we stay close to YHWH and grow in our relationship with Him He will show us our sins. The day He showed me I will never forget it. It started a modesty journey for me and I had to learn all over again what was acceptable and what wasn’t.
Well, I dont think that people understand why women need to be modest. It’s like someone not understanding why we need to be considerate of others. Or, why it is not right to be a negative influence, and a poor role model to youth. It’s because it can lead youth astray. Do we blame the youth for tobacco companies if kids are tempted to smoke, because of advertising? No, we don’t. Well, it’s the same concept where men are concerned.
