  1. <<<>>> It depends on WHOM is talking about WHICH law! <<<>>>

It is totally amazing you can read verse 4 and NOT conclude Christians are dead to the law! Verse 4 plainly says “you have died to the law THROUGH the body of Christ! How in the world? And in whose authroity? Do you proclaim these verses do not measure up?

Matthew 5:17 “Do not think that I have come to abolish “The Law” [“The Law” given Moses] or the Prophets; I have not come to abolish them but to fulfill them.” Notice it says “The Law”, “The Law” is NOT the law!

JOT AND TITTLES of GODs LAW, NOT jots and tittles of Pharisaic law!

    THE LEAST COMMANDMENT!

Matthew 5:17 DOES NOT go against Romans 7:1-6! Only your defective interpretation of scripture tells you it does!

Matthew 7:6 is perfectly clear! “But now we are released from the law, having died to that which held us captive, so that we serve in the new way of the Spirit and not in the old way of the written code.”

Right! Torah is “guidelines and instruction”! Torah is NOT “THE LAW”! We are dead to the “guidelines and instructions”! We are NOT dead to “THE LAW”! “THE LAW” is written on our hearts! The 613 “guidelines and instructions” ARE NOT written on our hearts!

You are the one correcting the word law in the WRONG place! You [and they] are the ones who are confused about how the word law has been misunderstood, twisted and misused!

The laws of marriage are part of the “guidelines and instructions”! Its the “guidelines and instructions” we died to! Which is exactly what is being said in those verses!

“THE LAW”, what you are calling the “guidelines and instructions” of our Creator ARE NOT the guidelines and instructions of Torah!

THIS IS CHRIST’s ENTIRE MESSAGE TO HIS PEOPLE           !

NOOOO! The “guidelines and instructions” ARE NOT what He told us to do! They are the exact opposite of what He told us to do!

    You’ve got it completely assbackwards!

    • It can’t be Roman? It’s in the Egyptian History that would pre date Roman Empire.

and the bible talked about Rome very little
      accept the letter to Rome.

it would be interesting if it was pagan.
But the bible clearly states to not get into Pagan practices and looks heavily down on paganism.

    • Romans 7:7
What shall we say, then? Is the “LAW” sinful? Certainly not! Nevertheless, I would not have known what sin was had it not been for the LAW. For I would not have known what coveting really was if the LAW had not said, “YOU SHALL NOT COVET.”

The law in the context of Romans 7 is the 10th commandment, which Romans 7 says we have died to. So we have not only died to the law of moses, but also the 10 commandments contained in the whole law (ie, Torah). Hebrew roots and SDAs get wiped out on Romans 7. They should read Romans 7 as it reads… The Law in context of Romans 7 clearly includes the 10 commandments as it clearly says in verse 7. Romans 7 sets the context of our freedom and verse 7 clarifies the law its talking about, and verse 4 tells us that we are dead to it.

      Romans 7:4
So, my brothers and sisters, you also DIED TO THE LAW through the body of Christ, THAT YOU MIGHT BELONG TO ANOTHER, TO HIM who was raised from the dead, IN ORDER that we might BEAR FRUIT for God”

When this Hebrew roots guy quotes Matthew etc, he’s quoting Jesus talking to those who were atually under the law. Its not a poor translation as this guy claims, because the example given in Romans 7 is the 10th commandment!! WE ARE SET FREE and RELEASED from the law. This man is a false teacher that Jesus warned about such teachers bringing us back under the law in Galatians. Those who are under the law are under a curse.

But those who depend on the law to make them right with God are under his curse, for the Scriptures say, “Cursed is everyone who does not observe and obey all the commands that are written in God’s Book of the Law.” Galatians 3:10

    • John Q. Public You do know you conerdicted yourself. You said Christians don’t need to follow the Old testament, yet you shown the passage where Jeues said he came back to not change the law, but to enforce them.

You need remember Jeues was a Jew. You also need to realize that original Christianity religion was more closely related to Judaism. Christianity is sect of Judaism.

The big problems with Christianity. The Christianity today followed in West is far remove from it’s Jewish roots. If you know the history of Christianity it has been hijacked by foreign political elites. Constantine took control of the religion in order to take control of Israel. It has been change and rewitten numerous times by foreigners that did not understand the culture context of the original old Hebrew scriptures.

The whole New Testament is written in Greek by foreigners. Hence why the Bible conerdicts itself numerous times.

The original Christian religion is still in there mix with all Roman/Greek mistranslations.

What Messianic Judaism tries to do is try to ignore all Greek/Roman influence and focus more on the original Christian religion and bring back the Jewish roots back into the Bible. In order to do that you need to understand Judaism, you need to understand that Jeues during his time was a Jew, you need to understand the original Christian religion is more closely related to Judaism. So you need understand the Hebrew elements of the Bible which a lot Christians don’t.

If you haven’t noticed Paul does stop to give you a history lesson of the Middle Eastern culture during that time. it’s hard to understand the Bible if you do not understand anicent Middle Eastern culture and mindset.

I don’t understand why it’s so hard for so many Christians to realize that Christianity is a Middle Eastern religion that reflects nothing of Western culture, Jeues was a Jew, a man of his time, a Middle Eastern man that live in a Middle Eastern culture and followed a Middle Eastern religion. Too many Christians think Jeues is lovely dovey modern day Hippy figure when he is not.

Paul keeps it real by showing you Jeues really was a Jew, Paul doesn’t change Abrahamic God to be this all loving God, he does remind you God can be very mean.

But Jeues is a Jew, he would for the old laws.

  2. Amen brother…Jer. 31:31-33…
“I shall put My Torah in their inward parts, and write it on their hearts. And I shall be their Elohim, and they shall be My people.” vs33

    • Heres biblical proof in Romans which declares us released from the written code, and the section of the law in this chapter is the 10th commandment which God wrote with His own finger.

      Romans 7:7
What shall we say, then? Is the “LAW” sinful? Certainly not! Nevertheless, I would not have known what sin was had it not been for the LAW. For I would not have known what coveting really was if the LAW had not said, “YOU SHALL NOT COVET.”

      Romans 7:4
So, my brothers and sisters, you also DIED TO THE LAW through the body of Christ, THAT YOU MIGHT BELONG TO ANOTHER, TO HIM who was raised from the dead, IN ORDER that we might BEAR FRUIT for God”
In the verse 7, its clear the law refers to the 10 commandments and as stated in verse 4, we have died to that law in Christ.

We clearly “died” to the whole law, including “thou shalt not covet” one of the 10 commandments. Surely the grace of God is consistant isnt it?

AGAIN, let me say it… we clearly “died” to the whole law, including “thou shalt not covet” one of the 10 commandments, the 10th commandment in fact as verse 4 tells us.

      Romans 7:10-11
“I found that THE VERY COMMANDMENT that was INTENDED to bring life ACTUALLY brought DEATH. 11 For sin, seizing the opportunity afforded by the commandment, deceived me, AND THROUGH THE COMMANDMENT PUT ME TO DEATH.”

The 10 commandments therefore only bring DEATH but the newness of the life in the Spirit of Christ brings life. Even Paul admitted that although in his mind he wanted to keep the law of God, he realised he couldnt do it because of indwelling sin:

      Romans 7:21-25
“So I find this law at work: Although I want to do good, evil is right there with me. 22 For in my inner being I delight in God’s law; 23 but I see another law at work in me, waging war against the law of my mind and making me a prisoner of the law of sin at work within me. 24 What a wretched man I am! Who will rescue me from this body that is subject to death? 25 Thanks be to God, who delivers me through Jesus Christ our Lord! So then, I myself in my mind am a slave to God’s law, but in my sinful nature a slave to the law of sin.”

This means that we want to please God by keeping the Law, but we cant. God delivers us by Jesus Christ who releases us from the law.

      Proof?

      Romans 7:6
“But now, by dying to what once bound us, WE HAVE BEEN RELEASED FROM THE LAW so that we serve in the NEW WAY of the SPIRIT, and NOT in the OLD WAY of the WRITTEN CODE”

      CONCLUSION OF ROMANS 7

The subject of the Law in Romans 7 is the 10th commandment. We are not bound by the old written code of “Gods Law” (10 Commandments) since that law is the context used by the apostle Paul in Romans 7:7. God and Moses both “wrote” the Law and its clear we have been released by that WHOLE written law as verse 7 proves without doubt.

Jesus said to the Jews who were under the Law, “Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest”. Jesus was not lying, nor was He offering temperal peace / sabbath / rest. It was a permanant sabbath that He offered those under the Law.

Jesus is therefore our spiritual rest and we no longer are bound by any “written” code as Romans 7:6 clearly proves.

    • you try to undo what the Father spoke thru his Messiah with the doctrine of a man who came after him in his own name…. humm where have I heard a warning about this

  3. 1 John 3:19-24
19 This is how we know that we belong to the truth and how we set our hearts at rest in his presence: 20 If our hearts condemn us, we know that God is greater than our hearts, and he knows everything. 21 Dear friends, if our hearts do not condemn us, we have confidence before God 22 and receive from him anything we ask, because we keep his commands and do what pleases him. 23 And this is his command: to believe in the name of his Son, Jesus Christ, and to love one another as he commanded us. 24 The one who keeps God’s commands lives in him, and he in them. And this is how we know that he lives in us: We know it by the Spirit he gave us.

  4. Paul, you are right. The scales have not been lifted yet. This is exactly how i was when i was a new creation. I rebeled with the Word while only listening to my pastor. Now i listen to the whole Word of Yahweh instead of man.

  5. Hi Paul, your presentation was good to hear. As an Adventist I see clearly your point about the Law being in force. If we keep Jesus’ commandments then He won’t give us all the diseases that He gave Egypt. But, let me clarify something that I didn’t hear from you and maybe it will help some comfusion in other Christians.

The Law does have its detrimental aspects, which the apostle goes on to describe, and which you started to read in 7:7. Rom. 4:15 says that the Law makes us angry. And I believe Paul was referring to that when he wrote 7:6-9, and as the apostle continued on with his soloquy of frustration and hopelessness through to 7:24. Without witnessing the dead body of Christ in the damnation that should have been ours, we have no power to obey. We are held captives to a life of failure to overcome the sins that beset us.

Added to that lack of willpower to obey God’s will is the fact that we were very comfortable living the life of lawlessness before the Law convicted us of sin. Paul says he was alive without the Law before it butted into his life. But, butting into our collision course with eternal death is God’s prerogative. He is a loving parent, and there is no law against what love does. “I will save your children” is one of His promises.

So, God enters the reality of a sinner and makes that person decide for life or death, obedience or disobedience to His will, His Law. At that point, the sinner must wrestle as Paul showed in his soloquy of frustration. But, where did he end up at the end of his wrestling (like Jacob)? Face to face with Jesus. He ended up needing a Saviour from sin like he never could have had without the Law’s extreme conviction of sin and without the wrestling that came out of the conviction’s entrance into his conscience. At that point, he was justified, and really primed to obey the Law. By then, he had gained a real delight in the Law of God (7:22), and he followed through with that calling from the Spirit of God. In the end Paul could say that he was choosing to serve the Law of God (7:25), even though his fallen nature would always beckon him back to sin.

But, the continued victory over sin came, as he explains in chapter 8, while he remained focused on Jesus in the Law. While he kept seeing Jesus through the requirements of the Law, because Jesus was the Lawgiver (1Cor. 10:4), Paul could keep following after the requirements of the Law, especially so because he had received the Holy Spirit through his reconciliation with God (8:1, 2). Because he now had the Spirit of Christ by seeing Christ in the Law, he gained a new willpower that he couldn’t have before being made right before God through the lifeless body of Jesus. He had a new nature from the Spirit that would enable him to obey (8:3). Love was born in his heart, and love makes people do things that appear strange to those who don’t have that love. Paul was born again, a child of the King. He was in Christ, and Christ was in him through His Spirit (8:9). Finally, after so much failure and heartache, Paul was subject to the Law of God, whereas those who hadn’t been born again couldn’t be. They were still carnal and operating without the power from above like Paul had struggled with (8:7).

  6. I have tried to speak to people (via messaging on Fb) about how the laws still applies to us (I’m in Turkey so I can’t speak to muh peeps face-to-face). And they just don’t get it. No one is willing to search out the scriptures because they are already set in their own belief system. How in the world can anyone be presented with such a “interesting idea” and NOT search it out? I am constantly trying to make sure I’m doing the right thing. “Depart from me for I never knew you…” Do you really think I want to hear that??!! I think NOT!

When people read “My word stands forever,” and “you shall perform these things for all your generations” and then they boast of how “G*d doesn’t change,” I guess they thought YHWH was just kidding. 🙁

    • why don’t you try to discern what the Spirit of the law is? Do you think you keep the feast days? do you burn animals for 7 straight days? No? then I guess you know things have changed as well.

    • You obviously have not looked into the matter. Please do yourself a service and not comment on anything before doing extensive research on the issue. You will thank yourself for it later. Good luck.

  7. PS: as a Sda also see many of your points Paul.As you know,we are the closest to jewish traditions, with some gaps, but those will be only one at the end.Just please keep doing your missionary work, serves very well with God.Shalom.

  8. It seems much of mainstream church pushes a traditional Greek Roman Catholic replacement using poor interpretations putting down The Truth. I believe we need to reach out ,out of love.Sometimes this abomination goes to far ,Yeshua did get angry as does his father we are here to guard his Torah and his word not tip toe around people feelings sometimes its good for people to hear hard truths,The truth should never be compromised.I really from my heart hope the lost have their scales removed but that up to our father , As he said my sheep hear my voice ,

    • +Jason Purnell You’re correct when you say much of mainstream church push Greek Roman Catholic replacement (theology). The Roman Catholic Church is referred to as the Mother church. They changed Yahweh our Elohim’s 7th day Sabbath. They truly believe they are “The” Church chosen of God. to represent Christ in the earth. They do not walk anything like Messiah Yeshua/Yehoshua/Jesus walked. He even asks why do you call Me, Lord! Lord! yet you do not do what I say?” Luke 6:46.

All of the Protestant churches are the daughter’s under the mother church because they follow their traditions of men rather than God (Mark 7:6-9 & 13).

It is time to not be afraid to speak out with gentleness and kindness sharing the TRUTH with them in love. It is not easy because they believe they are the only ones who will see the kingdom of God. They are told they cannot understand the bible so they are not to read it. They are taught the Catechisms and listen to the Homilies. They are accursed for having added to and taken away from the Pure Word of Yahweh our Elohim. He said if anyone, even an angel from heaven preaches another Gospel, let them be accursed. I think we can see the RCC is under a curse for their disobedience.

The Mother Church (The RCC) wants to be the One World Religion and have all other religions under them. This could be the One faith of that will rise when the New World Order comes fully into the light and is exposed.

Blessings to you and Shalom brother.

The only place in the Scriptures that defines Truth is found in Psalms 119:142.

  9. Yashuah said follow Torah…I will obey him rather than men or any bible translation made by men. Shalom he helps us walk in obedience!!!

  10. analogy one guy is selling drugs for a drug dealer the other guy is selling granola bars for the granola dealer both are equally serving God. I gather from Romans six
