Today we look at a subject that people have been discussing for a long time, women and headcoverings. Are their any benefits to covering the head? Why do it and what do you think about it?

This is just so awesome. What a brilliant testimony. !!!
its not a command for me as much as its just attractive and set apart and conveint especially if your hair is coming out
i wish that lady would take that ring out of her nose though
Thank you for posting this video. I also cover, and I enjoy watching testimonials from fellow Christian coverers. It lets me know that I am not alone. Although I do cover in the Islamic fashion, which I did not see any of on the video. Not that there should have been or anything. I think that any manner of covering is a great thing. I cover because of 1 Cor 11 and for modesty. I also find that it is a good avenue for witnessing to my fellow man.
it is true that a man treats a woman with more respect…. I know a young man in my building who flirts with all the woman in the building – but said out of his own mouth that he won’t do it to 2 Muslim women who live in the building… why? he said that the way they dress makes him look at them differently – so he doesn’t try to flirt with them “out of respect”…
Amen! Exactly…I didn’t feel convicted about not wearing a headcovering, but once I was made aware of it; I was left with what I was going to do with what I now knew. God will always bless obedience…even if you don’t “feel” this way or that way.
his ‘respect’ is obviously nothing worth and nobody cares about ‘his respect’.
huh? everyone cares about respect…. especially those who say they don’t care.
Pretty much the same reason Muslim women like me wear the hijab. See? We’re not so different 🙂
Where can I get head coverings? Can these women teach me how to wear them? Are these women from a congregation that I could come visit?
Thank you for the teachings. Shalom

Is it in the Torah for women to wear head coverings?
Yeah. God spoke to you. Just like I had a little chat with godzilla like 3 months ago.
Ahhhhhh Americans…
I’m unmarried and feel led to do this. Does that sound right to you?
It is not the hijab itself or head cover itself that people do not understand it is what it represents. In America people view the hijab as traditionally Muslim, although many Orthodox churches women choose to cover their heads as well. It is what the head covering represents to as why it is so highly controversial. If is a question of modesty this can be taken so many ways. In scripture is it said: “1 Timothy 2:9a -Likewise also that women should adorn themselves in respectable apparel, with modesty and self-control, not with braided hair and gold or pearls or costly attire” Inner beauty is what counts, but many Christian women today braid their hair, including myself, my hair is cork screw curly and braids are something that works well as a style for me it does not mean I am immodest or willing to give my body to random men. The reason this verse may have been so specific was that there were ways of dressing that symbolized prostitution that in today’s society do not. Scripture also states.”1 Corinthians 11:15 And isn’t long hair a woman’s pride and joy? For it has been given to her as a covering.” So it seems to me that it is not the presentation of the hair itself but the meaning of what it represents. Wear the hijab if you choose especially if it is culturally well looked on such as in many Orthodox circles, but people need to know the faith for which you stand. The head covering is indifferent the faith behind it is powerful. Wear not because of how men will look at you, wear because you are reverent in the presence of the Lord.Â
Hey Abigail! I’m interested in your story. Are you wearing a headcovering now? I’ve been wanting to for almost a year, but I haven’t felt supported in doing it, and since it’s such a huge change (for me) I need support… Please send me a message! 🙂
its respect   as far as brain washed i dont think so theese are very humble women
These women are beautiful!
You should consider doing interview of the husbands of these godly women. You might find that they feel they need to be a stronger leader and a godly man because their wives are submitting to them. my family has only been using a head covering for two days and I already feel I need to be a stronger leader in a godly man. Just something for you to consider be blessed in Jesus name
My husband did make a video on that. Check out our channel to view it. 🙂
All of these women were beautiful with their coverings on.. I want to start wearing one, but I don’t know about ALL the time.. I thought it is only when praying or prophesying..? I was kind of disappointed to see the young woman with her hair beautifully covered, but she had an earring in her nose.. Ugh.. Seemed like a contradiction….
The testimonies of these women is wonderful. My wife has been covering during corporate worship for 14 years. We have tried to teach others what we’ve learned from scripture. Wonderful video!
