Slavery is just part of human history. Now the U.S made slavery an institution thats another can of worms right there.
I’ve read that there was a shipping port in Africa, Africans and other European nations were involved, and that Africans themselves raided their own villages to provide slaves for money and power! There was such a high demand for slaves that they just kept raiding villages, and that they became slave traders auctioning off their own people? Do you believe this is true? Or just part of the story? Did African militants, raid their small villages to sell their own people into slavery?
It’s true , though the Islamist and portuguese slave trade ran the majority of the slave trade during those time periods over 1400 years.
Pre/post 1700’s the English raided Ireland and enslaved the Irish and shipped them all over mostly America’s. All nations on this earth at one time or another are guilty of barbaric slavery.
Slave trade still rampant in large portions on middle east/Asia now, Islamist have even started a open African slave trade again albeit still on a small scale in comparison to past.
And sex slave industry has never gone away , just moved into shadows.
