Unauthorized Fire

(#281 from Suffer Well Devotional Series©)
www.sufferwell.org

"Aaron sons Nadab and Abihu took their censers, put fire in them and added incense; and they offered unauthorized fire before Yahweh, contrary to His command. So fire came out from the presence of Yahweh and consumed them, and they died before Yahweh." (Leviticus 10:1-2)

Fire consumed them for choosing their own sacrifice. We think in modern terms you would call that “religion.” Ouch! Does Yahweh delight in burnt offerings and sacrifices as much as in obeying Yahweh? To obey is better than sacrifice, and to heed is better than the fat of rams. (1 Samuel 15:22) You would do well focusing on what has been commanded, rather than doing what you or your denomination has decided is pleasing to “God.”

On an individual level, it could be likened to a former drug addict who has the erroneous idea that one can make up for his past sins by diving into a plethora of self-chosen acts of service, otherwise known as “spiritual activities.” Remember, the Almighty demonstrates His own love for us in this: While we were still sinners, the Messiah died for us. (Romans 5:8) You were redeemed while you were still a slave to your addictions, and all idolatrous behavior for that matter. It is His Spirit alone who gives you the ability to leave your idols behind. No sacrifice on your part was necessary, no acts of service, only His. Your unauthorized fire, your self-assigned sacrificial activities, done with the sense that you must somehow participate in the atonement for your past behaviors, actually reveals your unbelief. It is self-righteousness, not righteousness. Israyl was guilty of such behavior; "they were zealous for the Mighty One, but their zeal was not based on knowledge. Since they did not know the righteousness of the Mighty One and sought to establish their own, they did not submit to the Mighty One's righteousness." (Romans 10:2-3)

Any time you operate in the mindset that you must do something to “atone,” you are telling Him that you reject the offering Yahshua made. That's right; you are saying that His death and resurrection were not enough to cover all of your maladies. This non-debatable core issue must be dealt from within. He [Yahshua] sacrificed for their sins once for all when He offered Himself. (Hebrews 7:27) He entered the Most Holy Place once for all by His own blood, thus obtaining eternal redemption. (Hebrews 9:12) He has won favor for you with your Father in Heaven once and for all. Done! The only thing you must do now is obey. “To obey is better than sacrifice.”

With your eternity secure, turn your focus toward obeying His commands. Your abundant life is found in them. He says, “You must obey My laws and be careful to follow My standards. I Am Yahweh your Almighty. Live by My standards and laws, for the person who obeys them will have life through them. I Am Yahweh.” (Leviticus 18:4-5) He has made it so that following His commandments adds life to your life. They are to bless you child, not to curse you. If you have been chosen, the ability to choose has been gifted to you, and you must now make a choice. “This day I call the heavens and the earth as witnesses against you that I have set before you life and death, blessings and curses. Now choose life, so that you and your children may live.” (Deuteronomy 30:19) He has set before you life and death, choose life! Obedience to His laws is not "legalism" loved one; it is life. Conversely, disobedience is death. Everyone is tempted by his own desires as they lure him away and trap him. Then desire becomes pregnant and gives birth to sin. When sin grows up, it gives birth to death. (James 1:14-15)

Everyone who sins breaks the law; in fact, sin is lawlessness. (1 John 3:4) No more lawlessness loved one. No more religion. No more self-assigned sacrificial activities. Do it His way; anything else is unauthorized fire!

David's Dilemma

(#272 from Suffer Well Devotional Series©)
www.sufferwell.org

David's words:

"Arise, Yahweh! Deliver me, my Mighty One! Strike all my enemies on the jaw; break the teeth of the wicked." (Psalm 3:7)

"You made my enemies turn their backs in flight, and I destroyed my foes." (Psalm 18:40)

"In your unfailing love, silence my enemies; destroy all my foes, for I am your servant." (Psalm 143:12)

Yahshua's words:

"But I tell you, love your enemies and pray for those who persecute you." (Matthew 5:44)

"Bless those who curse you, pray for those who mistreat you." (Luke 6:28)

"Blessed are those who are persecuted because of righteousness, for theirs is the Kingdom of Heaven." (Matthew 5:10)

The Father's words about David:

"You have shed much blood and fought many wars. You are not to build a house for My name, because you have shed much blood on the earth in My sight." (1 Chronicles 22:8)

The Father's words about all those of old who had great faith, including David:

"These were all commended for their faith, yet none of them received what had been promised, since the Almighty had planned something better for us so that only together with us would they be made perfect." (Hebrews 11:39-40)

Put on the mind of the Messiah. Discern and comprehend. David was missing something. He was accomplished, yet incomplete. We believe he would want you to know this. He would tell you that the vengeance of Yahweh is activated by your prayers for your enemies, not your prayers against your enemies, something he would have to learn in eternity. “Only together with us would He be made perfect.”

He would also tell you that we should not desire vengeance, nor find joy in your enemy’s demise. He would tell you that the Messiah’s life upped the ante from, “You have heard it said” to “But I tell you!” He would tell you that the "eye for an eye" concept was easy to fulfill, and that loving your enemy is the more perfect way. He would rewrite some of his Psalms. He would expect us to have figured this out. His perfection waits for our perfection. “Only together with us would He be made perfect.” There is no room for bloodshed in this perfect place. David was a man after Yahweh's heart, the apple of His eye. Part of what made him so was that he would admit his shortcomings easily and repent!

We have so much more available to us than David did. Rather than use the excuse that you cannot perceive because, "His ways are higher than Yours (Isaiah 55:9)," say to yourself, "I will reach for that higher way!" It was always an invitation, never a limitation loved one.

Now pay close attention to a mystery being revealed. Meditate on it, for it is deeper and wider than it might appear at first glance. Showering love on one who might just be an enemy is the very thing that will activate Yahweh's vengeance, if in deed vengeance is due. Love is a double edge sword love one, and it knows exactly how to cut.

But blessed are your eyes because they see, and your ears because they hear. For truly I tell you, many prophets and righteous people longed to see what you see but did not see it, and to hear what you hear but did not hear it. (Matthew 13:16-17)

My Eliana

(#263 from Suffer Well Devotional Series©)
www.sufferwell.org
You should know in your heart that as a man chastens his son [daughter], so Yahweh your Mighty One chastens you. (Deuteronomy 8:5)

Both arms on the table, dark golden brown curls draped over them. Only a portion of her bronzed elbows showing. "Eliana," I say. "Lift up your head sweetie." Her saddened eyes and pouty lips slowly lift off her arms. While examining her intense beauty, I ask her, "Does daddy correct you and discipline you because he is angry at you, or because he loves you?" I can see the little brown eyes go deep inside to the place where thoughts are gathered. The pouty lips then reply, "Because you love me?" Unsure if she has answered correctly, she watches as I grab her arms and reply, "Of course it is because I love you. I will always love you. Nothing can ever stop me from loving you more and more every day. That is why I must correct you for your disobedience."

I quickly search the recesses of my mind and ask myself why she might ever doubt my love for her. Why would she ever perceive my discipline as anger? Why would she not distinguish my correction as my love for her? The answer is quite painful and includes one of those thoughts we all wish to stuff away and forget. It is possible to hide from the answer for a while, but not forever. We all must face it at some time. She perceives anger and not love because my actions have taught her so. Gladly I can say they are past actions that the Spirit has corrected in me, but nonetheless, I must own the responsibility for planting those seeds in her. "Perfect love never fails," the scripture says (1 Corinthians 13:8), and I have certainly not loved perfectly.

There is another side as well, and that is her part. It is also something at which we all fail. We fail to understand the perfect love Yahweh has towards us. Yes, she is young, but she will soon have to acknowledge what we all must—fear. We all fear perfect love. It is the fear that it could actually be available, especially from the unseen Great I Am. I often try to imagine His love, one that has never been angry at me. Though He expresses emotion, His forgiveness is available all along. The Mighty One demonstrates His own love toward us, in that while we were still sinners, the Messiah died for us. (Romans 5:8) His discipline is always contained within perfect love. We long for perfect love to be real, yet we fear it, perhaps because once we taste its sweetness we will realize how bland everything else is.

This is the love I want my Eliana to see in me and receive from me. But there is no way I can do that until I have received it from Him. I have promised my Heavenly Father that I will not be afraid to attempt it. Perhaps I will have the courage to accept it. Perhaps she and you will also. I could only ever desire to love her perfectly. And if I know how to give good gifts, how much more my Father in Heaven? (Matthew 7:11)

It is the perfect gift Father that my Eliana would hear Your still small voice for all the days of her life whispering; "I love you Eliana. I will never fail you. I will always be here, always want you, always cherish you, and always correct you so that you also will be made perfect in My love. I will always be so very thankful that I made you and that you shall exist eternally."

For consider Him who endured such hostility from sinners against Himself, lest you become weary and discouraged in your souls. You have not yet resisted to bloodshed, striving against sin. And you have forgotten the exhortation which speaks to you as to sons: “My son, do not despise the chastening of Yahweh, nor be discouraged when you are rebuked by Him; for whom Yahweh loves He chastens, just as a father the son in whom he delights.” (Hebrews 12:3-6 from Proverbs 3:11-12)

Under My Rod

(#256 from Suffer Well Devotional Series©)
www.sufferwell.org

“As I live,” says Yahweh Almighty, “surely with a mighty hand, with an outstretched arm, and with fury poured out, I will rule over you. I will bring you out from the peoples and gather you out of the countries where you are scattered, with a mighty hand, with an outstretched arm, and with fury poured out. And I will bring you into the wilderness of the peoples, and there I will plead My case with you face to face. Just as I pleaded My case with your fathers in the wilderness of the land of Egypt, so I will plead My case with you,” says Yahweh Almighty. “I will make you pass under the rod, and I will bring you into the bond of the covenant; I will purge the rebels from among you, and those who transgress against Me; I will bring them out of the country where they dwell, but they shall not enter the land of Israyl. Then you will know that I Am Yahweh.” (Ezekiel 20:33-38)

Think of passing through a metal detector on your way into a courtroom. The detector, perfectly placed, will not allow entrance until anything potentially dangerous has been removed. And so it is with the rod that I cause to fall upon you. “I will make you pass under the rod, and I will bring you into the bond of the covenant.” (v37) The covenant is love. The removal of anything that damages love must take place before you can stand in My presence. This is why the rod is a must. He who spares his rod hates his son, but he who loves him disciplines him promptly. (Proverbs 13:24)

Even My Son cried out at His crucifixion, "Why have You forsaken Me?" (Matthew 27:46) This is the fulfillment of the pure mind, as all the sins of mankind, past and future, were born by Him in that instant. Why was that necessary? That He might present her [the bride] to Himself a glorious congregation, not having spot or wrinkle or any such thing, but that she [the bride] should be holy and without blemish. (Ephesians 5:27) There can be nothing but purity in My presence. There can be no trace of flesh (the Adam #1 previously spoken of); there can be no dross; there can be no defect. In My house, there is no spot and no speckle, only a glorious bride, holy and without blemish! My Son declares it so, “Therefore you shall be perfect, just as your Father in Heaven is perfect.” (Matthew 5:48)

Yes child, take comfort that My eyes are ever upon you as My rod strikes. "Where are you still holding onto flesh thoughts? What are you still trying to hide from Me?" These are the questions that the rod answers. I desire you learn quickly, though My long-suffering endures.

Changing faulty patterns of the mind into pure patterns of the mind; it is for this that the rod was designed! For some, purity arrives more easily. How so? They relish the discipline; "Abba, Your rod is Your love; do not remove it until I have found You." These will rise. These are My sons and daughters.

Circle of Death

(#251 from Suffer Well Devotional Series©)
www.sufferwell.org

The process of dying to self looks something like this: denial; then grief; anger; and then more grief; partial acceptance; even more grief; and then finally a subtle change in perspective. Although you might be at different stages in the process, relative to the different aspects of your character that Yahweh happens to be circumcising (shedding blood) at the moment, all of the above are part of the circle of death within the mind going through transformation. We have explored, more than once, the transformation of the mind alluded to in Romans 12:2, but now let us speak of the death that is required for that transformation to occur, and more importantly how our Heavenly Father views that death.

I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of the Almighty, that you present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable to the Almighty, which is your reasonable service. And do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, that you may prove what is that good and acceptable and perfect will of the Almighty. (Romans 12:1-2)

A sacrifice in Shaul’s day was an animal whose neck was sliced, blood poured out, body chopped to pieces and parts burned on the altar. We’d say this represents a “complete transformation” of the animal, wouldn’t you? In other words, this is a picture of 100% commitment. There is no concept of a partial sacrifice; a sacrifice is “all in!” And what does Yahweh think of this “all in!” concept as He demands that you, "present your bodies a living sacrifice?" He calls this “reasonable service!” Giving it all, having your neck sliced, blood poured out, body chopped to pieces and parts burned on the altar is not extraordinary in Yahweh’s perspective. A 100% transformation of your mind from carnal to Holy is not astonishing. It is just…reasonable.

And this “commanded” death, what does it get you? "He who finds his life will lose it, and he who loses his life for My sake will find it." (Matthew 10:39) And how does this circle of death, the stages you pass through while dying, apply to you in reference to finding your spiritual man? The death of self must occur for the new life to begin. In essence, ego-driven doctrine must give way to Holy-minded doctrine, recognizing patterns, and obeying Yahweh’s commands.

To embrace the necessity of death is to master the process of life. Let us say that again as it is most powerful. To embrace the necessity of death is to master the process of life. "He who loses his life for His sake will find it." Pay close attention loved one. When asked to die, you can expect to deny the process. You can expect to get angry in the process. You can expect to grieve in the process. Eventually, by His Spirit in you, you can expect to supernaturally accept the process and therefore, change. Every time a piece of the flesh dies, the supernatural occurs.

How many of you stumble simply because it does not "feel" good to change your doctrine? Listen, He did not intend for the death of the "self" to feel good. Rather, He mandated that it be a brutal and piercing transformation, no less than a personal crucifixion. As it is written; "Anyone who desires to come after Me, let him deny himself, and take up his stake daily, and follow Me." (Luke 9:23)

These are predictable patterns. When He manifests new truth into your mind, either directly or through His servants, He intends for you to grasp the patterns and practice them within, and by this you come to understand the Holy process; the knowable patterns. Say to yourself, “I know the death of ‘self’ is not pleasant at first, however, I will not be so quick to reject these painful truths that transform lies in my mind, and therefore, I will walk this out.”

As much as you abhor the death that Yahweh warrants, and He knows you struggle believing that He will do His part, you must walk through it, trusting that He will give you new life. Give in to Him. Embrace the circle of death and find abundant life. He is everything He says He is, and He will not fail you. His love guarantees it.

Certainly Imputed

(#239 from Suffer Well Devotional Series©)
www.sufferwell.org

Brothers and sisters, think of what you were when you were called. Not many of you were wise by human standards; not many were influential; not many were of noble birth. But the Almighty chose the foolish things of the world to shame the wise; the Almighty chose the weak things of the world to shame the strong. The Almighty chose the lowly things of this world and the despised things—and the things that are not—to nullify the things that are, so that no one may boast before Him. It is because of Him that you are in the Messiah Yahshua, who has become for us wisdom from the Almighty —that is, our righteousness, set-apartness and redemption. Therefore, as it is written: “Let the one who boasts boast in Yahweh.” (1 Corinthians 1:26-31)

If any of you are wise, if any of you have understanding, then let this mind be in you. What mind? The mind that understands and accepts that no goodness, effort, esteem, talent, or gifting is of you ("self" created). If you are "good," you were made so by the spilling of blood. Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above, and comes down from the Father of lights. (James 1:17) Everything you have been given, anything that helps you excel, has been given to do one thing. And what is that one thing? To serve for good. For by grace you have been saved through faith, and that not of yourselves; it is the gift of the Almighty, not of works, lest anyone should boast. For we are His workmanship, created in the Messiah Yahshua for good works, which the Almighty prepared beforehand that we should walk in them. (Ephesians 2:8-10)

To help this one thing become real to you, let me suggest a short prayer to repeat over and over until this truth becomes part of your DNA. "Father, I recognize that all of my talents; all of my gifts; all of my skills; as well as my generosity and wisdom; anything that is good in me; comes from You! None of it is actually mine. It was given to me by You, O Yahweh, for one purpose, and that is to honor You. May my life glorify You.”

If this is real to you, then repeat one more prayer: “Father, thank you for the spilled blood of Yahshua. Forgive me for not remembering the truth. Forgive me for robbing You of Your esteem. Set my heart (center of intellect) and soul (emotional character) into a right relationship with You. Remind me daily why I have anything good in my life.”

You are not your own? For you were bought at a price; therefore glorify Yahweh in your body and in your spirit, which are the Almighty’s. (1 Corinthians 6:19-20) Yes, remember that. Have that mind in you. It is a dangerous thing to forget the proper order of things, to forget the price that was paid so you could be what you are. It would be a fearful thing to be reminded with a Heavenly chastening. Of how much worse punishment, do you suppose, will he be thought worthy who has trampled the Son of the Almighty underfoot, counted the blood of the Covenant by which He was sanctified a common thing, and insulted the Spirit of grace? For we know Him who said, “Vengeance is Mine, I will repay,” says Yahweh. And again, “Yahweh will judge His people.” It is a fearful thing to fall into the hands of the living Mighty One. (Hebrews 10:29-31)

Listen very closely loved one. Quiet your mind and listen. The amount of mental strife you suffer is directly related to your belief in the delusional non-reality that there is some personal (self-achieved) "good" in you, and that you are worthy of anything from anyone. Your lust for personal vindication, in any area of life (conscious activity), is a denial of the Sovereignty of Yahweh! Make the shift!

Consider every day a wonderful new journey. Shout to your Savior; “I want to be the best Your blood could buy; And I want to honor the reality that I was created to glorify You.” So be it!

Repent and Believe; Repent and Rejoice

(#232 from Suffer Well Devotional Series©)
www.sufferwell.org

“…But we have the mind of the Messiah.” (1 Corinthians 2:16)

What do you envision when you think about Jericho? You see a bunch of radical Israylites marching around the walls, and maybe you even hear them shouting as the walls crumble after the seventh day! Now I want you to envision the walls of your mind tumbling down. Yes, My child; it's all in your head. Sin is birthed in the mind (heart) before it manifests in the flesh. But each one is tempted when he is drawn away by his own desires and enticed. Then, when desire has conceived, it gives birth to sin; and sin, when it is full-grown, brings forth death. (James 1:14-15)

If you continue to entertain sin, Yahweh will “give you up to uncleanness, in the lusts of your heart [mind].” (Romans 1:24) and “give you over to a debased mind [heart], to do those things which are not fitting (Romans 1:28).” Before this happens, you must allow the strongholds of your mind, the walls that keep you bound, to be torn down. If not, it's as if “you know the Almighty, but do not glorify Him as the Almighty, nor are you thankful, and so you become futile in your thoughts, and your foolish heart [mind] becomes darkened (Romans 1:21).” You must be transformed by the renewing of your mind [heart] (Romans 12:2). How can you do this? Here are three practical steps:

1. Acknowledge that you don't believe and obey all that I say. Repent and ask for healing.

2. Take every thought captive, and ask yourself, “Does this thought reflect total trust in Yahweh?”

3. Recognize that the battle is spiritual and that the physical is merely a manifestation of thoughts.

For though we walk in the flesh, we do not war according to the flesh. For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal but mighty in Yahweh for pulling down strongholds, casting down arguments and every high thing that exalts itself against the knowledge of the Almighty, bringing every thought into captivity to the obedience of the Messiah, and being ready to punish all disobedience when your obedience is fulfilled. (2 Corinthians 10:3-6)

The weapons to tear down the walls of your mind are mighty in Yahweh. You must simply believe it! When your thoughts come into captivity to the obedience of the Messiah, “joy will be your strength (Nehemiah 8:10).” Yes, that’s correct; when you need strength, rejoice in Him. Take every thought captive. Filter every activity in your mind through Yahshua’s life and resurrection. His life is a display of Yahweh’s power. And access to that power will come in every situation as you meditate on His resurrection (complete mind renewal through the utter shedding of the "self"). The walls of Jericho (carnal voice within) must come down. Believe it! This is the pattern; it can be no other way.

Enough said; His yoke [mind work] is easy and His burden [right thinking for the fallen] is light (Matthew 11:30). Your only problem is unbelief. Repent and return! Repent and live! Repent and believe! Repent and rejoice!

Double-Edged Sword

(#229 from Suffer Well Devotional Series©)
www.sufferwell.org

Read Hebrews 4:1-16.

No creature is hidden from His sight, but all things are naked and open to the eyes of Him to whom we must give account. (Hebrews 4:13) We are all completely exposed.

Do I have your attention? This is the “I see you” part of My Word. I watch everything with purpose, precision, and intent. This includes all matters of the heart, especially your attitude about My commands. In this instance, I Am showing you My Sabbath rest. It is a fool who tests Me by relegating My set-apart day as a pittance to suit his culture and lifestyle.

I have picked the day. Yes, it is the seventh day. For He has spoken in a certain place of the seventh day in this way: “And the Mighty One rested on the seventh day from all His works.” (Hebrews 4:4) And it has not and will never change! There remains therefore a rest for the people of the Almighty. For he who has entered His rest has himself also ceased from his works as the Mighty One did from His. (Hebrews 4:9-10)

Go back into the history of My chosen people, and the confirmation of which day is the Sabbath is simple. Even the modern calendar you have embraced, although pagan in origin, has My seventh day correctly identified. Enough of this "pick a day, any day" mindset that permeates the conscience of followers who claim to serve Me. It's not a Kingdom mindset. Dare you stand against Me? I see the lack of investment you make in confirming My Word (as opposed to the Bereans in Acts 17:11). You find scripture verse sound-bites that suit your pleasure, and then you build an entire theology around them. With that mindset, try these:

Search me, O Mighty One, and know my heart; try me, and know my anxieties; and see if there is any wicked way in me, and lead me in the way everlasting. (Psalm 139:23-24)

For if we would judge ourselves, we would not be judged. But when we are judged, we are chastened by Yahweh, that we may not be condemned with the world. (1 Corinthians 11:31-32)

And do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, that you may prove what is that good and acceptable and perfect will of the Mighty One. (Romans 12:2)

Seven is "completion" in My Kingdom language; yes, including completion of the week loved one. It is confirmed by the Words of Yahshua Himself:

"And pray that your flight may not be in winter or on the Sabbath." (Matthew 24:20)

"Do not think that I came to destroy the Law or the Prophets. I did not come to destroy but to fulfill." (Matthew 5:17) If the Sabbath was altered to "pick a day, any day," or changed to the “first day” of the week (Sunday), My Son’s own words would be lies.

Instead, I call all of My people to rest on the same day, as I commanded, endeavoring to keep the unity of the Spirit in the bond of peace. There is One body and One Spirit, just as you were called in One hope of your calling; One Master, One faith, One baptism; One Almighty Father of all, who is above all, and through all, and in you all. (Ephesians 4:3-6) It is the Sabbath rest, a resting of the mind. Resting on the seventh day is proof that you trust Me to supply all your needs for the next six days according to My riches and glory (Philippians 4:19). Are you a child of Light who trusts in My supply or a child of darkness who goes his own way? The Word says that “your fruit” will reveal which you are (Matthew 7:15-20).

For the Word of the Mighty One is living and powerful, and sharper than any two-edged sword, piercing even to the division of soul and spirit, and of joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart. (Hebrews 4:12)

Go to the Mountaintop

(#225 from Suffer Well Devotional Series©)
www.sufferwell.org

It’s all a matter of perspective My child. Perceive with eyes of trust, hope, and understanding. Hear My still small voice. It was on a mountaintop that Yitshaq (Isaac) was to be sacrificed, not a valley, not a slum, not a prison. It was from the place of blessing I asked Abraham to pass the test. And Abraham called the name of the place Yahweh Yireh, as it is said to this day, “On the mountain Yahweh provides.” (Genesis 22:14) The reward was already prepared. Only one thing was needed; faith! And therefore, only one thing needed testing; faith!

Perhaps you feel like you are in a valley. Listen child, it is really a mountaintop in disguise. I have your reward here with Me. You have only one job; believe! Perhaps two; believe and rejoice when you are being tested (1 Peter 1:6). I Am Abba. I will not let you fall (Romans 11:11). Have I not told you that “Weeping might last for the night, but joy comes in the morning?” (Psalm 30:5) Morning signifies a time of Heavenly illuminations. Do you really think I would let you fall into the place of despair, and then leave you there? Did I not say, "Hope deferred makes the heart [mind] sick, but when the desire comes, it is a tree of life." (Proverbs 13:12) Yes, I Am trying to change you, but only to make you holy (set-apart). If I left you the way you are, you could NOT stand in My presence.

Am I worth it to you? Am I worth the pain? Lay aside everything that keeps you from loving Me and seek first what I ask, My Kingdom and My righteousness. I will take care of everything else (Matthew 6:33). My plans for you are the reason you were created; and this is for goodness, for purity, for joy, and for My honor. I will not be changing My patterns for your life loved one; they are already perfect.

Yes My child, it feels like a valley; but, it is truly a mountaintop in disguise. If you quiet your mind, you will hear My gentle whispers. “Rise up My love, My fair one, and come away.” (Song of Solomon 2:10) Come away with Me; it’s on the mountaintop you will be tested; and it’s on the mountaintop you will be blessed.

Integrity

(#221 from Suffer Well Devotional Series©)
www.sufferwell.org

Integrity is the courage to stand behind an idea that emanates from the mind of Yahweh. But, you might be thinking, “Who has known the mind of Yahweh…?” [answer] But we have the mind of the Messiah. (1 Corinthians 2:16) Of course, to know His mind, you first must be able to hear His still small voice, and this does not come without effort. Remember, it is a: “still” [only speaking to the quieted mind] “small” [causing you to put forth effort] “voice” [the will of Yahweh within you]. Having integrity in all things is really just saying that you have the mind of Yahweh on all matters. It is recognizing His principles as they repeat over and over in noticeable patterns.

Like love, peace and joy, the idea of integrity is only defined by the Creator of the principle, the Creator of all commanded patterns. If our Father is perfection, then integrity is a portion of the pattern that leads to Him. Integrity must then be an integral part of any idea that emanates from the mind of His created ones. An idea that truly emanates from the eternal “I Am” incorporates every single principle (command) into the idea. Integrity sifts an idea like silver which is purified seven times, only to illuminate any piece of the idea that does not conform to all of the Creator’s principles, or in other words, His mind. Integrity removes all dross and then stands firmly no matter what comes against it.

Integrity understands that it is bound to face vast opposition, and therefore it expects to suffer; but it also expects to stand in the suffering. In a fallen world, any standard that espouses absolute integrity will be attacked from all sides. The natural man does not receive the things of the Spirit of the Almighty, for they are foolishness to him; nor can he know them, because they are spiritually discerned. (1 Corinthians 2:14)

No doubt, integrity will stand as surely as its Creator stands; and it will inspire all of its enemies to wreak havoc on the spiritual idea. Because the carnal mind is enmity against the Mighty One; for it is not subject to the law of the Almighty, nor indeed can be. (Romans 8:7) At the same time, integrity exposes any part of your "self" that is not yet uprooted.

Integrity: the courage to stand behind (endure the suffering of) an idea that emanates from the mind of Yahweh. It is the state of being whole and undivided from Yahweh. Integrity is unity, coherence, cohesion, and togetherness.

"The integrity of the upright will guide them, but the perversity of the transgressors will destroy them." (Proverbs 11:3)
