Soothed

(#283 from Suffer Well Devotional Series©)
www.sufferwell.org

It’s never “just semantics.” Every word that proceeds from your mouth reveals your state of mind, and your state of mind is either completely holy or it isn’t. He who called you is holy, you also be holy in all your conduct, because it is written, “Be holy, for I Am holy.” (1 Peter 1:15-16) Can you have wrong thinking and still be holy? Can a house (mindset) be divided and still be whole? Yes, your house is your mindset, the thoughts that permeate your being! But Yahshua knew their thoughts, and said to them: “Every kingdom divided against itself is brought to desolation, and every city or house divided against itself will not stand.” (Matthew 12:25) How better can we demonstrate the undivided mind than by the words of Yahshua Himself? “I can of Myself [ego] do nothing. As I hear [the Father], I judge; and My judgment is righteous, because I do not seek My own will but the will of the Father who sent Me.” (John 5:30) Unless His will is your will, you are a house divided.

And now you are responsible for this reality. You can make no excuses, allow no room for compromise. As you embrace this truth, your mind will become soothed, calmness will overtake you, and your faith will be reassured. But, let’s go deeper and add an extraordinary nuance to your understanding.

This soothing experience is not taking place in your own mind. It is actually His Spirit in you, His mind in you that you are sensing. It is no longer you, but the Messiah who lives in you! (Galatians 2:20) For “who has known the mind of the Master that he may instruct Him?” But we have the mind of the Messiah. (1 Corinthians 2:16) He speaks in the Holy of Holies within His temple. You are that temple (1 Corinthians 3:16-17). And remember, flesh and blood (self) cannot enter this most holy place. Praise Yahweh that “you are not in the flesh but in the Spirit, if indeed the Spirit of the Almighty dwells in you.” (Romans 8:9)

If you are lazy, you may claim semantics are at work here; but the cost of doing so will be high. Rather than dismiss it, let this prayer marinate in your bones. “Father I know Your Spirit within me is always in a perfect state, complete in every way, lacking nothing. I deeply sense the effects of Your Spirit and how soothing You are. Thank you, and may I always proclaim that it is not I who lives, but You who lives in me. Let my life song sing…'I do not seek my own will, but the will of my Father who sent me.'”

Unauthorized Fire

(#281 from Suffer Well Devotional Series©)
www.sufferwell.org

"Aaron sons Nadab and Abihu took their censers, put fire in them and added incense; and they offered unauthorized fire before Yahweh, contrary to His command. So fire came out from the presence of Yahweh and consumed them, and they died before Yahweh." (Leviticus 10:1-2)

Fire consumed them for choosing their own sacrifice. We think in modern terms you would call that “religion.” Ouch! Does Yahweh delight in burnt offerings and sacrifices as much as in obeying Yahweh? To obey is better than sacrifice, and to heed is better than the fat of rams. (1 Samuel 15:22) You would do well focusing on what has been commanded, rather than doing what you or your denomination has decided is pleasing to “God.”

On an individual level, it could be likened to a former drug addict who has the erroneous idea that one can make up for his past sins by diving into a plethora of self-chosen acts of service, otherwise known as “spiritual activities.” Remember, the Almighty demonstrates His own love for us in this: While we were still sinners, the Messiah died for us. (Romans 5:8) You were redeemed while you were still a slave to your addictions, and all idolatrous behavior for that matter. It is His Spirit alone who gives you the ability to leave your idols behind. No sacrifice on your part was necessary, no acts of service, only His. Your unauthorized fire, your self-assigned sacrificial activities, done with the sense that you must somehow participate in the atonement for your past behaviors, actually reveals your unbelief. It is self-righteousness, not righteousness. Israyl was guilty of such behavior; "they were zealous for the Mighty One, but their zeal was not based on knowledge. Since they did not know the righteousness of the Mighty One and sought to establish their own, they did not submit to the Mighty One's righteousness." (Romans 10:2-3)

Any time you operate in the mindset that you must do something to “atone,” you are telling Him that you reject the offering Yahshua made. That's right; you are saying that His death and resurrection were not enough to cover all of your maladies. This non-debatable core issue must be dealt from within. He [Yahshua] sacrificed for their sins once for all when He offered Himself. (Hebrews 7:27) He entered the Most Holy Place once for all by His own blood, thus obtaining eternal redemption. (Hebrews 9:12) He has won favor for you with your Father in Heaven once and for all. Done! The only thing you must do now is obey. “To obey is better than sacrifice.”

With your eternity secure, turn your focus toward obeying His commands. Your abundant life is found in them. He says, “You must obey My laws and be careful to follow My standards. I Am Yahweh your Almighty. Live by My standards and laws, for the person who obeys them will have life through them. I Am Yahweh.” (Leviticus 18:4-5) He has made it so that following His commandments adds life to your life. They are to bless you child, not to curse you. If you have been chosen, the ability to choose has been gifted to you, and you must now make a choice. “This day I call the heavens and the earth as witnesses against you that I have set before you life and death, blessings and curses. Now choose life, so that you and your children may live.” (Deuteronomy 30:19) He has set before you life and death, choose life! Obedience to His laws is not "legalism" loved one; it is life. Conversely, disobedience is death. Everyone is tempted by his own desires as they lure him away and trap him. Then desire becomes pregnant and gives birth to sin. When sin grows up, it gives birth to death. (James 1:14-15)

Everyone who sins breaks the law; in fact, sin is lawlessness. (1 John 3:4) No more lawlessness loved one. No more religion. No more self-assigned sacrificial activities. Do it His way; anything else is unauthorized fire!

But I Was Unaware

(#280 from Suffer Well Devotional Series©)
www.sufferwell.org

If the whole Israylite community sins unintentionally and does what is forbidden in any of Yahweh’s commands, even though the community is unaware of the matter, when they realize their guilt and the sin they committed becomes known, the assembly must… (Leviticus 4:13-14)

When they realize their guilt? Were they guilty while they were still unaware they had sinned? The answer is obvious and atonement was demanded; “the assembly must…” Yes, even for their unintentional sins that they were unaware of, they had to make an offering. For you, whose sins have been redeemed by the blood of the Lamb, how do you respond? Do you defend your actions? "If I did not know, how can I be punished for it?" Or, do you repent?

The mature ones know the correct response. "Therefore you are inexcusable, O man…"(Romans 2:1) They are the ones who come into agreement and say, "No sin is acceptable, even in my own ignorance." They would rather query themselves than deflect responsibility. “‘Why did I not know?’ rather than, ‘It’s not my fault.’” Herein lies so much of the problem deeply ingrained inside the body of the Messiah. Why don't we know and what can be done about it?

Shaul’s humble expression might hold the key to unlock the answer we are looking for. "Brethren, I do not count myself to have apprehended; but one thing I do, forgetting those things which are behind and reaching forward to those things which are ahead, I press toward the goal for the prize of the upward call of the Almighty in the Messiah Yahshua. Therefore let us, as many as are mature, have this mind; and if in anything you think otherwise, the Almighty will reveal even this to you." (Philippians 3:13-15) If you stop at, “I do not count myself to have apprehended…,” then you will ride this excuse indefinitely. Sadly, this ignorance has become the acceptable infestation inside the body. The cure is to humbly admit where you are and to “press toward the goal for the prize of the upward call.”

The maturity it takes to press toward this high calling—do you think it is exclusive, or is it a choice? Are you willing to sit quietly and allow the Spirit to reveal how your approach to sin answers this question? The word says "Press on,” so it would seem that it entails some personal responsibility and effort. You can agree with it, “As many as are mature, have this mind;” or you can argue, “If in anything you think otherwise, the Almighty will reveal even this to you.” But be warned, the revealing won’t be pretty!

Ultimately, maturity brings peace and resolution. If you are truthful with yourself, you will admit that even if you were unaware, you are still responsible for your actions. The mature stop questioning Yahweh in vain. This is the mindset of the mature; if Yahweh says the unaware are still guilty, then guilty they are. If this is you, the only questions remaining are, “Will you repent and what will you do to guard against doing it again?” Do not be the "vain man" who will suffer sharp rebuke. All that you need to know is available if you press on. The “Him” inside of you guarantees it. For those who repent and take responsibility, the blood of the Lamb has dealt with all guilt and sin; woe to the man who continues in his guilt.

If we deliberately keep on sinning after we have received the knowledge of the truth, no sacrifice for sins is available, but only a fearful expectation of judgment and of raging fire that will consume the enemies of the Mighty One. (Hebrews 10:26-27)

Deep Exploration

(#276 from Suffer Well Devotional Series©)
www.sufferwell.org

The purposes of a man's heart are deep waters, but a man of understanding draws them out. (Proverbs 20:5)

Deep waters! This is a powerful metaphor. Have you ever been in the deep of the ocean? Almost all light is absorbed within the upper 200 meters. Only a small amount of light penetrates beyond this depth. There is barely any measurable light that can reach as far as 1,000 meters, in fact, so little that photosynthesis is not even possible. Below 1,000 meters, sunlight does not penetrate at all. That zone is bathed in total darkness. However, what does change considerably as you go deeper is the pressure. At sea level, the pressure on your body is 14.5 pounds per square inch (psi). For every ten meters you go deeper, the pressure increases by 14.5 psi. So, even though the change in perceptible light is negligible, the pressure change between 200 and 1,000 meters is eighty fold. And in the deepest ocean, the pressure is over 1,100 times that of the surface, or the equivalent 16,000 pounds per square inch on a human body. That would be equal to eight tons sitting on a surface little more than the size of a postage stamp. That’s a lot of pressure!

This magnitude of pressure creates risk, fear, and uncertainty for those daring enough to go there. The metaphor: the deeper you go the fewer men you will find have ever explored there. There are not many treasure hunters in the deepest places. Those who dare to go face all of the pressure and risk involved. But they go to seek the potentially remarkable payoff, “some a hundredfold, some sixty, some thirty. He who has ears to hear, let him hear!” (Matthew 13:8-9)

What is the increase in store for those who risk going deeper with Yahweh? What hidden treasures await you, if only you are willing to draw them out? I tell you, the treasures are the mysteries of the Kingdom of Heaven. He answered and said to them, "Because it has been given to you to know the mysteries of the Kingdom of Heaven, but to them it has not been given." (Matthew 13:11) You get it, right? To those who do not search, it has not been given. To those who do, “Eye has not seen, nor ear heard, nor have entered into the heart of man the things which the Almighty has prepared for those who love Him.” But the Almighty has revealed them to us through His Spirit. For the Spirit searches all things, yes, the deep things of the Mighty One. (1 Corinthians 2:9-10)

The pressure is always increased when we travel to the depths, and the journey reveals who we really are, who we have been created to be. What too often is our daily alternative to the pressure? We stay on the surface. Staying on the surface only supports the illusion. Remember, it all looks the same from the surface and that is the great deception. We are not who we pretend to be. Better yet, we don't even realize how much we are pretending. It is far worse than we are willing to admit. Some of us attempt to go to the deep places in order to heal, only to be frightened by the realities we discover in the depths, the pressure. There is so much more beauty below the surface loved one; it is where He makes "known to us the mystery of His will, according to His good pleasure which He purposed in Himself." (Ephesians 1:9) If you are willing to go there, you will see things never before seen and experience things never before experienced.

Search the deep things of Yahweh, to attain all riches of the full assurance of understanding, to the knowledge of the mystery of the Almighty, both of the Father and of the Messiah, in whom are hidden all the treasures of wisdom and knowledge. (Colossians 2:2-3) Don't give up. Don’t fear the pressure. Keep going back, little by little. Dive deeper each time, precept upon precept (Isaiah 28:13), remembering that the treasure hunters never dive alone. For safety, there is always a companion. And you know who it is; you are not alone. Go deep and find the treasures.

David's Dilemma

(#272 from Suffer Well Devotional Series©)
www.sufferwell.org

David's words:

"Arise, Yahweh! Deliver me, my Mighty One! Strike all my enemies on the jaw; break the teeth of the wicked." (Psalm 3:7)

"You made my enemies turn their backs in flight, and I destroyed my foes." (Psalm 18:40)

"In your unfailing love, silence my enemies; destroy all my foes, for I am your servant." (Psalm 143:12)

Yahshua's words:

"But I tell you, love your enemies and pray for those who persecute you." (Matthew 5:44)

"Bless those who curse you, pray for those who mistreat you." (Luke 6:28)

"Blessed are those who are persecuted because of righteousness, for theirs is the Kingdom of Heaven." (Matthew 5:10)

The Father's words about David:

"You have shed much blood and fought many wars. You are not to build a house for My name, because you have shed much blood on the earth in My sight." (1 Chronicles 22:8)

The Father's words about all those of old who had great faith, including David:

"These were all commended for their faith, yet none of them received what had been promised, since the Almighty had planned something better for us so that only together with us would they be made perfect." (Hebrews 11:39-40)

Put on the mind of the Messiah. Discern and comprehend. David was missing something. He was accomplished, yet incomplete. We believe he would want you to know this. He would tell you that the vengeance of Yahweh is activated by your prayers for your enemies, not your prayers against your enemies, something he would have to learn in eternity. “Only together with us would He be made perfect.”

He would also tell you that we should not desire vengeance, nor find joy in your enemy’s demise. He would tell you that the Messiah’s life upped the ante from, “You have heard it said” to “But I tell you!” He would tell you that the "eye for an eye" concept was easy to fulfill, and that loving your enemy is the more perfect way. He would rewrite some of his Psalms. He would expect us to have figured this out. His perfection waits for our perfection. “Only together with us would He be made perfect.” There is no room for bloodshed in this perfect place. David was a man after Yahweh's heart, the apple of His eye. Part of what made him so was that he would admit his shortcomings easily and repent!

We have so much more available to us than David did. Rather than use the excuse that you cannot perceive because, "His ways are higher than Yours (Isaiah 55:9)," say to yourself, "I will reach for that higher way!" It was always an invitation, never a limitation loved one.

Now pay close attention to a mystery being revealed. Meditate on it, for it is deeper and wider than it might appear at first glance. Showering love on one who might just be an enemy is the very thing that will activate Yahweh's vengeance, if in deed vengeance is due. Love is a double edge sword love one, and it knows exactly how to cut.

But blessed are your eyes because they see, and your ears because they hear. For truly I tell you, many prophets and righteous people longed to see what you see but did not see it, and to hear what you hear but did not hear it. (Matthew 13:16-17)

Perfect Love Casts

(#252 from Suffer Well Devotional Series©)
www.sufferwell.org

There is no fear in love; but perfect love casts out fear, because fear involves torment. But he who fears has not been made perfect in love. (1 John 4:18)

Fear has a life of its own. It feeds on emotional energy yet it is separate from the human. As an entity, it exists outside the human and enters only when invited. Fear is energized by all who oppose the Kingdom of Yahweh within (Luke 17:20-21). Fear's greatest ally is guilt, and guilt believes it deserves punishment. And the carnal shame that invites punishment is the very thing in the conscience of man that simultaneously rejects love. Fear, guilt and shame cannot coexist with love. Remember, it has been decreed "A house divided cannot stand." (Mark 3:25)

Wrong thinking is a battlefield and you must know where the frontline is. For though we walk in the flesh, we do not war according to the flesh. (2 Corinthians 10:3) "I feel this guilt, therefore I must be deserving of punishment;" or "I feel this shame, therefore I am punished;" or "I asked for forgiveness, but I still feel like I am being punished." These enemy mindsets within you, and there are more, are the very foes that perfect love intends to defeat. For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal but mighty in the Almighty for pulling down strongholds. (2 Corinthians 10:4) The weapons are mighty in Yahweh and perfect love will cast out all the enemies that oppose it. For the Scripture says, “Whoever believes in Him will not be put to shame.” (Romans 10:11)

Even so, everything has an appointed time; in the end it will speak, and it will not lie. Though it tarries, wait for it; because it will surely come, it will not tarry. (Habakkuk 2:3) Yahweh’s plan for rooting out wrong mindsets in your life is no different. But ultimately, Instead of your shame you shall have double honor. (Isaiah 61:7)

That is great news. Instead of shame you shall have double honor! The life of Yahshua the Messiah in you guarantees it. If anyone is in Messiah, he is a new creation; old things have passed away; behold, all things have become new. (2 Corinthians 5:17) He is saying, "You are brand new and you are no longer guilty. I took your shame and I removed it forever. You are not being punished; you are being transformed. Fear, guilt and shame are based on lies. It is I who set you free, and if the Son makes you free, you shall be free indeed. (John 8:36) Love casts out fear, guilt and shame; and it is I who will cause you to know this at the appointed time." Hold on loved one; it is a supernatural process. Therefore, do the supernatural and offer praise even when everything seems unknown.

Ba’al-perazim

(#236 from Suffer Well Devotional Series©)
www.sufferwell.org

So David went to Ba’al Perazim, and David defeated them [the rolling, deviating thoughts; Philistines] there. And he said, “Yahweh has broken through my enemies before me, like a breakthrough of water. Therefore he called the name of that place Ba’al Perazim (2 Samuel 5:20)

This is yet another prophetic declaration from the mouth of the man after Yahweh’s own heart. He called that place Ba’al Perazim, the “Master of the breakthrough.” Meditate on that loved one. Yahweh is the Master of the breakthrough. And as it was with King (dominant thoughts) David (praise), so shall it be with his descendants (thoughts that precede praise).

If His word is true, then how long will the congregation sing “The battle belongs to Yahweh,” and still whimper and retreat at the first sign of trouble? A new paradigm in your mind must be established; it is a crossing over to a new place. The new reality to embrace is that you actually become everything you speak. Your words are always the fruit of your thoughts and they have the power of creation. For as he thinks in his heart, so is he. (Proverbs 23:7) Remember Genesis, “And the Almighty said…” It is the mandate that Yahweh spoke all things into being. Perhaps this is one reason we are warned to measure our words carefully. Do not be hasty with your mouth, and let not your heart hurry to bring forth a word before the Almighty. For the Almighty is in the heavens, and you on earth, therefore let your words be few. (Ecclesiastes 5:2)

Our Creator was well aware of our capacity to sing of His power with one breath, and use the next to run from our enemies at the first sign of trouble. Be of good cheer however; He promises you the same testimony as David. “My eyes have seen the defeat of my adversaries; my ears have heard the rout of my wicked foes.” (Psalm 92:11) Yahweh is the Master of breakthrough. But in our example we see that the breakthrough came because, in faith, “David went!” Praise went forth loved one, to the place where Yahweh would defeat all enemies (ego driven ideas), no matter what! The righteous [right thinking] shall live by faith, but if anyone draws back, My being has no pleasure in him. (Hebrews 10:38)

Go to where you are called, even if that means running toward your enemies (1 Samuel 17:48); don’t draw back. For the eyes of Yahweh diligently search throughout all the earth, to show Himself strong on behalf of those whose heart is perfect to Him. (2 Chronicles 16:9) Yahweh is searching for that perfect heart and this requires a transformation of your mind. On this journey to the mind of the Messiah (1 Corinthians 2:16), you must let your words be few, diligently take each thought captive, and carefully measure everything against the Word of the Almighty and the testimony of our Savior. Do this; don’t draw back; then you will have your breakthrough.

Flesh Thoughts

(#228 from Suffer Well Devotional Series©)
www.sufferwell.org

Oh My little children, have I not told you that you are One with Me and My Son? (John 17:21) If this is true, can you lack anything? The reality is that you can only lack if it is possible for Me to lack. Is it possible? Is there something beyond Me? Tell Me child, if you are heir to My Kingdom as declared, “And if you are the Messiah’s, then you are Abraham’s seed, and heirs according to the promise” (Galatians 3:29), then why do your prayers continually petition Me for what is already yours? Ah, the next verse might explain, “Now I say that the heir, as long as he is a child [immature], does not differ at all from a slave, though he is master of all. (Galatians 4:1)

Think about your immature prayers; “Father, please help me;” “Forgive me Father;” “Show me the way Father;” “Bless me Father.” Have I not told you that I Am your help in times of trouble (Psalm 46:1); that I saved you while you were yet sinning (Romans 5:8); that My Son is My forgiveness (1 John 1:9); that Yahshua is the Way (John 14:6)? My blessings are yours to take loved one. Do you understand Me?

You have continually prayed for what has already been given to you. It is a choice you make which denies the perfected person that I have made you. Yes, that is correct. My Word declares that in My Son you are already perfected. “Come now, and let us reason together,” says Yahweh, “Though your sins are like scarlet, they shall be as white as snow; though they are red like crimson, they shall be as wool.” (Isaiah 1:18)

The secret is to catch up to who I have already allowed you to become. When My servant David wrote, “Blessed is he…” and "He shall be like a tree planted by the rivers of the waters," (Psalm 1:1-3), he was coming into alignment with Me. He was stepping into what I had for him. Agreement with My Word is the spiritual prerequisite which activates My Word, making it a tangible reality. He believed Me, spoke forth that belief, thus prompting Me to give him what he asked for. He chose to believe Me, and therefore live as the powerful, perfected man that he was. Yes, like a dog, he at times repeated his follies (Proverbs 26:11), yet, he always got back on course. "My grace is sufficient for you, for My power is made perfect in weakness." (2 Corinthians 12:9)

Embrace your true identity! You are with Me in perfection this very moment. It is up to you to align with this true reality. The illusion is anything other than this. Remove all flesh thoughts. It is called repentance loved one. Then, and only then, can you step into the destiny I’ve created for you.

Hold Tight Till I Bless You

(#223 from Suffer Well Devotional Series©)
www.sufferwell.org

Yahweh will fight for you, and you shall hold your peace. (Exodus 14:14)

Whose battle do you think will be most difficult? Will I have trouble defeating your foes? Is My Right Arm not long enough to protect you? When My servant Mosheh (Moses) told you to, “hold your peace,” did you understand the magnitude of his words?

You see My loved one, holding your peace oftentimes means fighting to keep it. My battle is already won, but your fight is to keep your peace by trusting that My word will be fulfilled in your life. You can only lose your peace if you lose sight of Me. You cry out to Me for more faith, but you must follow the pattern I’ve put in place to build your faith. What pattern? Have I not written that, “Faith comes by hearing, and hearing by My word?” (Romans 10:17) You need to focus on what is required of you and leave the rest to Me. If you want the faith to believe all I say, then go into My word and get all the faith you need. Would you prefer it another way? Do you believe that your way is better than Mine?

Listen to Me My precious one. Listen to My still small voice. When I tell you something, you can bet your life on it. You can bet your eternity on the idea that My word is your vehicle to a greater faith because I have made it so. All you need to do to hold your peace is to stay rooted and grounded in love (Ephesians 3:17). And love is perfected in those who keep My word (1 John 2:5). I Am love! My Son is love! My Spirit is love!

So, you can hold your peace by increasing your faith by knowing My word, and I will handle all of your battles; I promise. Now, will you make Me a promise? Will you promise to hold your peace? Will you increase your faith by searching My word? In addition to peace, your great reward will include closer communion with Me, the Creator of peace in your conscience.

To our loved readers: Yahweh’s words are a gift; take from them freely and grow. Hold your peace by fighting to keep it as did Ya'aqob (Jacob) when he wrestled with the Almighty (Genesis 32:24-30). Exercise spiritual tenacity like he did when he held on like a pit bull till he was blessed. "I will not let You go unless You bless me!" (Genesis 32:26) Yes,"The Kingdom of Heaven suffers violence, and the violent take it by force." (Matthew 11:12) The Kingdom is only established with such dogged vehemence.

Ya'aqob gripped tight with a “spiritual violence” and would not let go till all was accomplished. And for persevering he was rewarded with his new identity, the one who prevails with the Almighty. "Your name shall no longer be called Ya'aqob [the supplanted conscience], but Israyl [the conscience that strives with and for Yahweh]; for you have struggled with the Mighty One and with men, and have prevailed." (Genesis 32:28)

Fight to keep the peace and embrace your new identity; you are one who prevails with the Mighty One!

Integrity

(#221 from Suffer Well Devotional Series©)
www.sufferwell.org

Integrity is the courage to stand behind an idea that emanates from the mind of Yahweh. But, you might be thinking, “Who has known the mind of Yahweh…?” [answer] But we have the mind of the Messiah. (1 Corinthians 2:16) Of course, to know His mind, you first must be able to hear His still small voice, and this does not come without effort. Remember, it is a: “still” [only speaking to the quieted mind] “small” [causing you to put forth effort] “voice” [the will of Yahweh within you]. Having integrity in all things is really just saying that you have the mind of Yahweh on all matters. It is recognizing His principles as they repeat over and over in noticeable patterns.

Like love, peace and joy, the idea of integrity is only defined by the Creator of the principle, the Creator of all commanded patterns. If our Father is perfection, then integrity is a portion of the pattern that leads to Him. Integrity must then be an integral part of any idea that emanates from the mind of His created ones. An idea that truly emanates from the eternal “I Am” incorporates every single principle (command) into the idea. Integrity sifts an idea like silver which is purified seven times, only to illuminate any piece of the idea that does not conform to all of the Creator’s principles, or in other words, His mind. Integrity removes all dross and then stands firmly no matter what comes against it.

Integrity understands that it is bound to face vast opposition, and therefore it expects to suffer; but it also expects to stand in the suffering. In a fallen world, any standard that espouses absolute integrity will be attacked from all sides. The natural man does not receive the things of the Spirit of the Almighty, for they are foolishness to him; nor can he know them, because they are spiritually discerned. (1 Corinthians 2:14)

No doubt, integrity will stand as surely as its Creator stands; and it will inspire all of its enemies to wreak havoc on the spiritual idea. Because the carnal mind is enmity against the Mighty One; for it is not subject to the law of the Almighty, nor indeed can be. (Romans 8:7) At the same time, integrity exposes any part of your "self" that is not yet uprooted.

Integrity: the courage to stand behind (endure the suffering of) an idea that emanates from the mind of Yahweh. It is the state of being whole and undivided from Yahweh. Integrity is unity, coherence, cohesion, and togetherness.

"The integrity of the upright will guide them, but the perversity of the transgressors will destroy them." (Proverbs 11:3)

We offer these devotions as a guide, and as always, the mind is what needs to be guided first. These writings are inspired by the Spirit, and contained within them are biblical patterns or blueprints that must be consistent with Yahweh’s character and must always bring glory to Him. Otherwise, they are just personal vainglory with no lasting power.

Two distinct patterns are important to emphasize in this season; one has just now been unfolding; it is the idea of hearing “the still small voice.” The other, which upholds the first, is that you do not need man to teach you. We will unwrap the latter first, and then unpack the revelation of the former.

Who is your teacher?

"But the anointing which you have received from Him abides in you, and you do not need that anyone teach you; but as the same anointing teaches you concerning all things, and is true, and is not a lie, and just as it has taught you, you will abide in Him." (1 John 2:27)

There is a fine line between doctrines of men and scriptural truth. The fine line is truth itself! And this we say of the entirety of this body of work as well. If it is not from the Spirit of truth (John 16:13), then it amounts to the doctrines and commandments of men (Mark 7:7). "You do not need that anyone teach you!" If truth is spiritually discerned, then it stands to reason that truth can only be revealed by the Spirit, not man! Although man might point out the truth, only the Spirit in you can filter spiritual information; and only the Spirit in you can validate the authenticity of it.

“These things we also speak, not in words which man’s wisdom teaches but which the Holy Spirit teaches, comparing spiritual things with spiritual. But the natural man does not receive the things of the Spirit of the Almighty, for they are foolishness to him; nor can he know them, because they are spiritually discerned.” (1 Corinthians 2:13-14)

Many problems arise when you are “seeking,” and if you’re willing to receive it, it's because you have been spiritually lazy, and would rather have other men tell you their version of truth, rather than discern it for yourself by listening for the whispers of the Holy Spirit. It is up to you to hear what the Spirit is saying to you. Only the Spirit is needed to learn of the truth and only the Spirit in you can speak truth.

How does Yahweh Speak?

But Yahweh was not in the wind; and after the wind an earthquake, but Yahweh was not in the earthquake; and after the earthquake a fire, but Yahweh was not in the fire; and after the fire a still small voice. (1 Kings 19:11-12)

We have embarked upon a new season in our time together. The Spirit (Ammah-Ruach-woman) has led us to this place. We will continue to dance the heavenly dance; maybe some of you will learn of a new rhythm, a new choreography, and receive new revelation.

Break away from anything in your life that is causing you to rely on the words of men in order to hear the voice of Yahweh. It’s time to move past "feelings" to "knowing!" Yes, even if it requires more time away from devotions, you need to hear for yourself. It's time to learn to cultivate that voice within, the still small voice, and to follow His guidance through the Spirit manifesting in your life. We know you hear His voice in these devotions, but you need to go beyond. You must discover which specific part of the body you represent!

Speak these words to Him and then listen:

"You and I, Yahweh, with Your Son, my perfector, and Your Spirit, my guide. I need to know who I am in You, and who You are in me. I need to know You, so I might find my true self."

Won't you pray this prayer? Won't you do more than just pray it; won’t you be still and listen for the still small voice? The “still” [only speaking to the quieted mind] “small” [causing you to put forth effort] “voice” [the will of Yahweh within you]. Then, after that, obey what He tells you and show Him that what He commands matters!

Life to Death to True Life

(#213 from Suffer Well Devotional Series©)

Let this mind be in you which was also in the Messiah Yahshua, who, being in the form [spiritual likeness] of the Mighty One did not regard equality with the Mighty One a matter to be grasped, but emptied Himself, taking the form of a bondservant, and came to be in the likeness of men. And having been found in fashion as a man, He humbled Himself and became obedient unto death, even the death of a stake. (Philippians 2:5-8)

Obedience: following orders, commands, and instructions.

My Son Yahshua was obedient. He obeyed Me when I told Him to, “Go die.” I marvel at your limited perception of this act of obedience. Was the only price He paid His life, His physical life? Was that the great sacrifice which became the propitiation of your sins? No loved one. It was that He would be forever different, His position altered; and He knew it! He stepped out of Heaven knowing He could never again return the same, never! Yet, His reply was poetically simple; “Yes Father.”

I watch you daily in your praise of His act. I hear you in your weekly gatherings. Such wonder and awe you ascribe to Him. When He whispers in My right ear about you, may I tell you what He says? “How come so many of them miss it Father? They sing about Me; they worship Me; yet they don’t really know Me or the full price I paid. They know ‘things’ about Me, but they do not really know Me.” My answer to Him, “They have yet to escape their fear, anxiety, and pride; in one word, their idolatry.”

Idolatry: preferring your own beliefs over what Yahweh says about anything and everything.

Have I not spoken the very same words to you? "Go die My son, My daughter, My bride." The hour has come; the pattern will be fulfilled. I ordered His death so that you would die as well. The religious love to proclaim how they are “new creations” without explaining why. The purpose and pattern are all right here: Romans 6:1-13. [And this is for you to read right now!]

From life: life to see your destructive ways, to see your transgressions.

To death: death to everything you have been made alive to see (your destructive ways and transgressions).

To true life: the new creation, the Spirit being which is both male and female. You were made alive to die and then to live. This is the pattern and there is no way around it.

Or don’t you know that all of us who were baptized into the Messiah Yahshua were baptized into His death? We were therefore buried with Him through baptism into death in order that, just as the Messiah was raised from the dead through the glory of the Father, we too may live a new life. For if we have been united with Him in a death like His, we will certainly also be united with Him in a resurrection like His. For we know that our old self was crucified with Him so that the body ruled by sin might be done away with, that we should no longer be slaves to sin—because anyone who has died has been set free from sin. (Romans 6:3-7)

Reckon yourselves to be dead to sin, but alive to Yahweh! Yes, life to death to true life.
