Thanks Paul
Shalom! Thank you for this message 🙏🏼
Well it is not actually called Rosh Hashanah! That is a Babylonian Jewish name, and not the proper name for Yom Terah! Many of these holidays are not celebrated at the right time of the year either. The Jews were using a Babylonian calendar and not the original Hebrew calendar. In that aspect, you might of well celebrate Chistmas as long as you do not have the pagan traditions of it. God cares more about the celebration, and not the actual date. So reserved dates are fine, as long as the celebration is of God’s liking.
3 For the customs of the peoples are vanity; for it is but a tree which one cutteth out of the forest, the work of the hands of the workman with the axe. Jeremiah 10:3 strong statement against cutting down trees and bringing them into a house to decorate, and this verse is a direct quote from YAH. I do not think doing this to remember Yahushua’s birth is honoring nor is celebrating His birth during the winter solstice. The second-century Christian theologian Tertullian condemned those Christians who celebrated the winter festivals, or decorated their houses with laurel boughs in honor of the emperor. Not our Messiah. Please remember our enemy’s concept of operation. He likes for us to question our Elohim’s commands and rewrite them making wrong right and right wrong. And the serpent said unto the woman: ‘Ye shall not surely die; 5for God doth know that in the day ye eat thereof, then your eyes shall be opened, and ye shall be as God, knowing good and evil. Genesis 3:4,5
@Ray Fenwick Who said anything about cutting down trees though. Many people do not use Christmas trees, and most people use fake trees anyways. God is against cutting down his objects of nature for vain use, yes. Many Christians do not use Christmas trees. My point is though, no one celebrates the proper holidays anymore. They are using a false calendar. They are converting a Babylonian calendar to a Roman calendar. The Hebrew calendar only has 7 months, not nine. There is no Hebrew holiday as Rosh Hashanah. It is Yom Teruah, not Rosh Hashanah. I agree the house of Joseph has followed pagan ways. It was said that he would. When Joseph came back from Egypt he was not recognized by his brothers because he adopted pagan traditions of Egypt. The same is for his descendants. The House of Joseph got lost in Western Christianity. Yet they have a strong presence of Messiah, which is the connection. While the house of Judah would has the law, which is the correction. Judah is the Mosaic covenant, which are the law and spiritual blessings. Joseph is the Abrahamic covenant, which is Messiah and the physical blessings. The two houses will become one again. Until they do, the human race will suffer greatly.
Shalom Shalom … thanks brother Paul!
