In the Gettysburg Address of 1863, President Abraham Lincoln stated that “government of the people, by the people, for the people shall not perish from the earth.” However, many would argue that notion is not what it used to be. So, what’s happening? What can we do about it as believers? And where do we go from here?

In this new series Politics for Believers, we get the answers from Natalia Castro, a political writer, cabinet member with Future Female Leaders, a speaking coach, and one of the most respected voices for conservative women.

This is a very informative interview you do not want to miss, only on the next episode of Shabbat Night Live!

  1. One of the things that I find out was if you want to better yourself. It can be an impossible situation. So if you work overtime and make more money to take care of your family. They will drastically cut you. Almost like the goal was not for you to better yourself or to better your family.

  2. I’m a disabled cancer patient and receive 25 dollars in food stamps for two people and I see people getting hundreds of dollars and do not even need it driving brand new cars and I’m eating ramen noodles! SMH

  3. As a Christian you shouldn’t care if you’re taxed to feed and house the poor. The Democrats were right to setup a safety net, but they manipulated it to only benefit single mothers with lots and lots of kids. Arguing for the elimination of welfare is destructive and will drive people from Christ.

  4. Welfare is a socialist institute. The poor will always be around thats what our tithes are supposed to be for. not to the church isntitute.
