My family is Jamaican. I wasn’t raised on fruit. We mostly had cooked food, mainly rice and meat, soup with dumplings, porage. Basically grains 80% and meat 20% and a veg at dinner about 1/4 cup and fruit during the day very rarely and in a small amount, like 1 or 2 mangoes shared amongst all of us 4 or more people
