/* There was “no” Greek tax collecting because it wasn’t the Greeks. */
What’s funny about that is you are American and yet you write in English. Why is that if you are not “English”? lol
Just because you speak a language does not mean you belong to the nation of the languages origin.
The fact is Greek was spoken in the Levant in Christ time. Like it or not.
We have a synagogue inscription found from a generation before AD70 in Jerusalem, its called the “Theodotos inscription”.
/* Israelites/Judians before it ever got to the Greeks. */
What are Judians??? Do you mean Judeans?
Jesus did not grow up in Judea. Jesus grew up in Nazareth, in Galilee. There were four provinces in the region recorded in the New Testament.
I don’t know why you keep referring to the Greeks? We are not talking about Greeks, were are talking about the universal language in the time of Christ. Exactly like English is today. You are very confused.
The whole NT was written in Koine Greek.
/* Matthew himself was a Hebrew */
No, Matthew was a Levi. A Tax Collector. Which the other citizens hated.
If you want to prove Matthew was written Aramaic then provide the manuscript evidence. The fact is you can’t because all the earliest manuscripts we have of the NT are all in Greek from the early 2nd century. There is nothing in Aramaic in the period.
Matthews Gospel is written in exceptionally good Greek and it borrows its quotations from the Septuagint Old Testament (Greek).
I am a Christian and the LORD Jesus Christ has given me the authority to become one of the Children of God. You lack knowledge, history and theology. You cannot even being to grasp the teachings of the New Testament or of the world of Christ.
You have lied by stating that I copied and pasted my comments. I haven’t!
I can go into any subject on the New Testament in its original language if you want (Greek).
How about I give you archaeology of Greek inscriptions found in the Holy Land before 70
You cannot judge me. You have just judged yourself and have been found wanting.
You did not even know of Alexander the Greek conquering the Holy Land and his successors ruling over the regions and turning the world Greek from Greece to Egypt, to Persia and the Middle East. Nor of the fact that the Jews in Judea could speak Greek 200 years before Christ. Nor of the 70 Jews who translated the Hebrew Bible into Koine Greek in the 3rd century.
The Masoretic is a 9th century AD commentary.
Google translators cannot translate 1st century Koine Greek. No, its called the Greek New Testament.
Philippians 2
/* I see on your YouTube channel you “Liked” Star Trek Trailers */
And? LOL
Liar!
part of this is true. there is no historical reference to Mecca prior to the 8th century. Also, this is when the Ummayad and Abbasid Empires were at their apex of war. Caliph Abd-ul-Malik built the Dome of the Rock to MOVE pilgrims from Mecca(wherever this is) to Jerusalem, which is why it is in a unique circular shape. The most likley Mecca is probably Petra, Jordon. Dan Gibson built on this theory.
i replied to a comment on islam. it got deleted…
but, there’s not enough Validated info on the sources or authors of the gospels. How can we KNOW that Jesus really said this stuff? More people should have written this down anyway. Notice that John’s theology is in contrast to the other 3.
haha, i wanted to become a Christian actually. I read the entire NT and liked it, i learned as much about Jesus as possible. It lead me to the same conclusion I got with Islam, stories transmitted by unknown people about a miraculous man. Jesus’ morality I have no issue with, its the lack of Evidence that He is a Diety that keeps me from your beliefs. That’s why it’s called FAITH, not based on Objective Reason. But u can believe what you like =)
I could ask u a 1000 questions on your faith and u to me. so i’ll ask u one: Jesus often refers to the Lake of Fire in hell. Why is this not mentioned, nor the afterlife, in a single verse of the Old testament?
Evolution of doctrine is my guess…
The word Hell was never in the original scrip, so Jesus never used it at all.
sure. I was born a Muslim. At 17 I began reading the NT and believed in Jesus for a year. I watched some debates on TheAthiestExperience and lost faith in Jesus too. You could call me Agnostic. I believe their is a Rational creator, but know nothing about him/it. I believe all peoples have a claim to him, not just an exclusive set, which includes Christianity. Now answer mine.
Ok that’s a good answer. I don’t know what u mean by swine though. The Torah has no record of these terms. Still evolution of doctrine, but earlier than i assumed. Anyway
“Isaiah 26:14 They are now dead, they live no more; those departed spirits do not rise. You punished them and brought them to ruin; you wiped out all memory of them.”
So their spirit DOES NOT rise, they’re RUINED and they won’t be remembered. There is no hint that this refers to a lake of fire and brimstone.
sorry i wasn’t able to read your comment as it got deleted. i’m not spamming anyone. Some guy made a comment on Islam’s history, which I have insight on, it got deleted. You came in and asked me “what part don’t u understand?’ I assumed u meant on Christ, which is why I had a civil dialogue with u. Im making some vids right now, but im busy, cause i have a life instead of Bashing on other religions. My channel clearly states that I will answer your questions on middle eastern religions. Peace.
TYPING like a child doesn’t prove your point. lol. Ah Satan, a Hebrew word that actually means a general Adversary, not your version of a demi-god. Which Satan am i a child of? i guess you still have a few years to go before u figure out that your worldview is totally made up. I’ll leave u to it then.
Why would I lie about being a Muslim? I live in America, that’s why my parents aren’t allowed to do that dumbass. They don’t care about my ‘beliefs’ as long as I show that i am practicing. I am an agnostic, but I agree more with the Athiests than u Jewish Zombie worshippers. “Normal people were made of clay,” typical bronze-age myths, and you’re accusing me of being dumb. Have an open mind, redneck.
I told u i wasn’t able to respond to your damn comment because someone deleted it. Now you’re acting like a kid, if u have a question I will answer it. I have knowledge on the middle eastern religions, but unlike u i don’t pick a side. That’s just biased.
his telling the truth we can start with Matthew 27:46 And about the ninth hour Jesus cried out with a loud voice, saying, “Eli, Eli, lama sabachthani?” that is, “My God, My God, why have You forsaken Me … now Eli Eli is noy my god my god is god god in Aramaic if you want to say my you will say Ya ya means my so where is the Ya at so we say Ya Eli Ya Eli AND lama sabachthani dont mean why have You forsaken Me … 1 it is a to long words for it to able to say that and lama sabachthani not the right way it should be lemana shabakthani” meaning of that This was my destiny so Jesus side Eli Eli lemana shabakthani … god god This was my destiny 2 Jesus know he will be crucified so why will he say why have You forsaken Me when he know he was going to be crucified that shows Jesus have no faith in god if he side why have You forsaken Me and this what the Greek say he side no why it can be when this word is a Aramaic word Eli, Eli lemana shabakthani that just show 1 error in the Greek bible and Jesus saying god god This was my destiny now that shows true faith in Jesus so the Greek have it wrong we don’t have it wrong no one can tell us how to speak our language how to speak Aramaic and that jews guy in the video knows what he is talking about
john dohn I have to agree with you, your the first person other than myself to point out the obvious. Also in the garden why would he pray to stop the crucifixion when he prophesied over 10 times that he would be put to death
what a brilliant way to put it. the way i put it is to say the name of God is in aramaic and not even the best greeks. in one the is a trying of it only
