Thank you for this message. I know a woman I was considering marriage with. She shows signs that we would probably be butting heads as husband and wife. I’ve always been told butting heads is normal. Now I know it’s not. Thank you for putting me on a different path.
So I wanted to see what the concordance says about this verse about being submissive. I went to bible hub to study it. When I hit the greek meaning of the words in this verse the word submissive or anything like it isn’t there. Can you explain this? Ephesians 5:22.
The verse right about it say submitting yourselves one to another meaning in a marriage relationship we submit to each other. the word in that verse is …hupotassó: to place or rank under, to subject…
Your saying women should submit to men when you should be saying wife’s submit to husbands. This submission is not a generalized men should rule over women in all areas of society. What it’s talking about is the structure within the family unit. You can’t take the scripture and apply it to society. That misinterpretation is how women of the world get oppressed.

@gd As I understand from Paul’s teaching, he referred to Adam and Eve as God’s standard of leadership. First husband and wife containe both, the family unit of husband and wife and social structure. We are all brothers and sisters from Eve, as she is the mother of all living. From this standpoint family and society are the same thing. It is this fallen world that has corrupted how things should be.
@gd I think your perception is a little short sighted respectfully. The woman was created for the man, not the other way around. This basic reality sets the standard as to the way life is to be conducted in all areasl. No one’s supporting oppression, or a misappropriation of order and decency. But life has been orchestrated in a way in which men are the leaders, providers, and protectors. Men have build everything in society, all structures, roads, buildings, inventions, have all been primarily created and provided by men. There is an order and a structure to life and I believe men do not have a problem with this order, but woman definitely have a problem with this order. The war against this order, most do not accept this order, and this is the problem.

I do believe in the order that the Lord has laid down for the family and that was made for for the daily functioning of the family unit.
That does not extend to humanity as a society. Men are not above women. We are equals and deserve the same respect and rights as men.

What you say is true – unfortunately not reality – not many men understand the true meaning of “husband” and my belief is that they are not willing to sit under righteous leadership and learn how to “husband” a wife. They learn the Most High’s Name, change diets, keep the Shabbat and go looking for a female to tell what to do. They have not secured provisions and in most cases are not even being responsible for themselves or their needs. They – too many times don’t even know how to love themselves and claim to love Yah.
Very well said, as a single woman I had an opportunity to marry a man, but I was being too picky and selective. I would’ve had a good life with him serving the Lord but instead, I have gone on 17 years in and out of abusive relationships, which one almost cost me my life. I am still struggling, I am still poor, and I am without a covering. I couldn’t even get pastors to be a covering for me, and their wives didn’t even seem to care to counsel me because they were too busy or whatever. I will say though, if you are in an abusive relationship, God does not expect you to stay in that. Do not develop a religious spirit that would keep you in some thing that will destroy you. We should not yoke ourselves unequally. You should know the signs of a narcissist before you get involved. Whether you’re male or female. Thank you brother for this wonderful broadcast! I used to question why Yahweh included Laws for not shaving off my beard, but because I trust Him, I just simply obeyed and have always kept a neat beard… Nowadays (and it seems throughout history) there have always been those who fall into the sin nature of wanting to be effeminate, and a beard is a very clear outward sign that Yahweh made a male a male and female is a female.
