There are many discrepancies when it comes to the name of the Almighty. Is it Yahweh, YeHoVaH, Jehovah… or is it simply God? How do you pronounce it? And why is there so much confusion?

This week, Nehemia Gordon breaks down the history of the name YHVH. Later, join Michael Rood for his Best Of series: "The Day of Trumpets at the Rock of Ages"!

  1. It is not Yahweh since in Hebrew with the letters provided, and there’s four of them, it needs to be pronounced at least like Ya-HU-eH (that’s not the name either but using it as an example). When it comes to YE-HO-VAH it actually has a meaning in Hebrew as ‘[He is] Being’ which can be looked at as the interpretation of the name since the LXX has ‘I am The Being’ and ‘The Being has sent me’ in Exodus 3:14. YaH-WeH means nothing in Hebrew so there’s no way it can be the name, much less a word; it means nothing at all. I do, however, have vowel points that let’s it mean something in Hebrew and it fits perfectly with Exodus 3:14-15 along with Yehu, the short version.

  2. It is Sabbath! Shabbat Shalom! So way do people scattering rushing to get everything ready for the show.. Make-up artist.. Cameramen Behind the scenes at people do work.. It is a ants nest at the background as people working.. I don’t understand? FATHER say no work on the Sabbath it means no work for everyone include your animals..

  3. Shabbat Shalom to everyone at A Rood Awakening. What are your thoughts on the Revelation Ch 12 sign in the heavens which is supposed to come into view at the presumed Yom Teruah in 2017 ? There are some very interesting teachings which suggest that this is a time marker concerning end time events. Keep looking up everybody, Yeshua is coming quickly.

  4. Ste Macdonald.. Shabbat Shalom from South Africa! 🙂 .. O so glad to hear that it is prerecorded.! Maybe it could be a idea to meanshion that some ware before the show starts..Thank you for coming back to me. YHUH barak all of you

  5. Are we 100% sure or I should say the experts on the name of the all mighty? This has had me confused even in pray about how to proclaim our creator’s mighty name and had me asking for forgiveness if I say the name wrong.

    • Order Nehemia’s book from ARoodAwakening.TV and it will answer your your question. “STUDY to show yourself approved” the resources are there for your edification.

  6. Hallelujah is actually halleluYAH. The YAH just like in the names of many prophets has YAH in it. YAH is part of the creators name. YAHweh (It may be pronounced differently) but it’s consistent with Yahshua when he said I come in my fathers name. HalleluYAH is actually halleluYAHweh.
Jeremiah is actually YeremeYAH, Isaiah is actually Isayah. Well that’s what I’ve been studying. It makes sense to me

  7. Offer to God a sacrifice of praise, that is, the fruit of our lips that make public declaration to his name.—Heb. 13:15.

Our lips should make public declaration to Jehovah’s holy name. Deaf brothers and sisters use sign language to render such praise to God. Housebound Christians praise him by letter writing, telephone witnessing, and preaching to attendants and visitors. Our sacrifice of praise—our giving praise to Jehovah by making known his name and proclaiming the good news—should be commensurate with our health and ability. It ought to be our best. (Rom. 12:1; 2 Tim. 2:15) Our sacrifices of praise are personal offerings voluntarily made to God because we love him. (Matt. 22:37, 38) You surely want your sacrifices of praise to be acceptable to Jehovah. Do you find that you are allowing television programs, video games, sports activities, or hobbies to distract you and interfere with your spiritual progress?
